HI. HI FRIENDS. I know it's been a while again. BUT, I have a lot of exciting things to share with you. Let's make a list, shall we?
1. tattoo
2. wedding
3. cranes
4. goat cheese
5. arts and crafts
6. the firepit and the faerie
WOW. Looks great! I bet you all are on the edge of your seats. Lots of pictures in this one. Get ready.
FIRST THINGS FIRST,
I got a tattoo. TRUE STORY. It took many days to get here, but it's HERE. And I loovvee it.
Me and Greg were going to go to
HOLD FAST TATTOO on a Wednesday, but then Greg got sick and we didn't go.
So we planned to go back on Saturday. We got there on Saturday and started talking to the guy, Jeff, about the tattoo, and he was like, "Well, I should really sketch out something since it sounds like what you want is really specific and then we should schedule an appointment."
And that's what we did. We made an appointment for the following Wednesday and I showed him the picture of what I wanted. I told him the most important thing was that everything was inside the circle.
So FINALLY, we went back on Wednesday, he did some sketching and re-sketching and IT HAPPENED:
It didn't really hurt. Like, pretty much at all. Just kind of more annoying than anything. I never felt like I was going to cry... my eyes didn't even water up or anything. And it definitely wasn't like, "omg this is going to be my last tattoo because I could never sit through this again." INSTEAD, I was pretty much planning my next one, haha ;)
VOILA! The finished product :) LOVE. I love it. Having this tattoo completes the vision I have of myself. It's the perfect accessory. And Greg totally got video, so be on the lookout for that!
It's not as dark anymore, it's peeled a little, and it's been a little itchy. So far I have NOT had an allergic reaction to the ink, which I was a tad worried about since I have so many weird skin allergies. But, it looks GREAT. OH, I LOVE IT.
RANDOM PHOTO:
MY JAIL. Ben and I went and had a picnic one Saturday evening and this was our lovely view! It was a great picnic. So pretty!
AND GUESS WHAT?!?!?!?!?!? RENEE AND DEREK GOT MARRIED!!!!!!!! :-D
What a great wedding. One of the best. And my little sister KARA was a bridesmaid!
The Thursday before the wedding, Kara and I went to get manicures!
It was super fun.
The wedding was at the
Three Chimney's Inn in Durham, NH. I had never been up there before! Such a pretty location!
It was a garden ceremony:
That's our girl! Kara and Eric walking up the aisle. She looked GREAT. Everybody did!
GORGEOUS! Renee looked gorgeous. I used to babysit for that girl!
MARRIED!!! It's official! Renee and Derek are married :) So happy.
Me and my mom!!!! :) I think we look really pretty. My mom's new glasses ROCK.
Renee and Derek are BIG FANS of dancing, which is one of the many reasons why I love them. Overall, all-around, great couple.
Yeahhh we clean up good. NOTE: teal dress with coral jewelry. And I wore it with these shoes:
I looked pretty rockin'.
I LOOOVVVEEEE this picture!!!! Kara and her bestest friends!
BACK: Mary, Brittany, Renee, Sam, Sarah
FRONT: Kara, Kendra
They look great. Everyone looked gorgeous.
And then we danced the whole freakin night. Literally the entire reception was spent tearing up the dance floor. We took a QUICK bathroom and wedding cake break, and then got right back to it. The DJ was awesome. OHHHHH it was so much fun. :)
RANDOM CUTE PICTURES OF RUBY TUESDAY:

The other day Kara and I went to Trader Joe's and I bought goat cheese with honey in it, and it's pretty much the most delicious thing I've ever eaten. I love it. I wish it was neverending and that I could eat it on everything. So far I've just been eating it on crackers. But I may take it a step further and put it on a sandwich. YUMM.
A couple weeks ago at trivia we met a guy named Erwin. We met him because he was Mary's friend and Mary had been coming, and so Erwin came. He turned out to be totally awesome and we've kept him around for pretty much two weeks straight.
Erwin has a talent for making paper cranes, among other things. He makes them very tiny.
Currently, I have the middle one on the dash of my car. And I have another one that he made the next night. So, I have a crane duo. I think this is awesome. And I think Erwin is awesome. And I'm glad he's hanging out with us. And him and Ben were like instant, just add water, BFFs. So, that worked out nicely.
We went to THREE trivia nights this past week!
Monday night: Fury's with pretty much the normal crew minus Brittany and Jeff and plus Ben's friend Nick. So, I guess it really wasn't the normal crew. But still FUN.
Tuesday night: me, Ben, Erwin and Kara went to Central Wave to do trivia and then Erwin and Ben did karaoke. FUN.
Wednesday night: me and Ben went into Portsmouth to do trivia at The Page! FUN. It was totally different from any other trivia night. And we got fried pickles. And then went to watch open mic at RiRa. FUN.
Thursday night: the four of us tried to do trivia at UNO's, because that's where Amanda (from Fury's) does it, but there was a LINE to get into the bar, and so we said screw it.
We went and did hookah instead! haha. There's that place that opened up in Somersworth, NH that we've wanted to go to for a while now. It was fun. We played trivial pursuit instead, haha. And apples to apples. THEN we went to the Barley Pub for the bluegrass jam:
They were ON THEIR GAME tonight. Ohhh it was so good. Great music.
Then we went to Fury's to meet up with Ben's sister Alana! We also met up with MARK, who used to work at Eddie Bauer, PHIL and MEGAN, who are my other friend Ben's (Fury) friends. GREAT NIGHT! We were definitely people-about-town.
Me and Ben also had a picnic that afternoon and THIS was our view:
That's at Newcastle Common, for those of you playing at home. We pick the best spots for picnics, I think.
RANDOM PICTURE OF DOUGHNUTS:
Amanda bought those at Reilly's Bakery, which is right down the street from Planned Parenthood in Biddeford. DELISSHHHHHH OOMMGGGGGG.
OK, CRAFT TIME!!!
ANYWAYS, I'm FINALLY allowed to change my earrings! So I've been buying A FREAKING TON, and I lovee it!!! And so I said, "hm, well I need an earring holder." And then I thought about it for a minute and said, "I guess I'll make one."
So, I bought these things:
1. a picture frame that I liked. That one is teal, came from Targs and was 50% off.
2. roll of screen, Home Depot for $5.98, Phifer brand
3. Gorilla Glue, Home Depot for like, $4.99 or something.
I already had scissors, and so I was set!
Take the backing off the frame.
Pretty frame, right?!?! TEAL!!!!
Then I went to go put something underneath the craft space, just so the table wouldn't get damaged or dirty.
At first I was like, "UGH, how am I going to fit the screen inside the frame!?!?!" But then I realized that I could just trace the backing!! And it would fit right in! And it did!
Then came the glue. I put a thin line of Gorilla Glue at the top of the frame, where the screen would be inserted,
And I pressed it in tight with the glass piece of the frame. The glass ended up breaking:
WHICH BRINGS ME TO MY NEXT SEGMENT:
OTHER GLASS THINGS THAT JULIE HAS BROKEN THIS WEEK:
Fury's, 6/18
Fury's, 6/21
I'll be better next week.
And now back to the crafting!!!!
I held the screen tight in there with colorful binder clips! (The normal black ones will also work fine.) And they only got A LITTLE stuck to the frame during the pull-off process.
Hey, that looks like an almost-earring holder!
Add a picture holder nail-in-the-wall that yours truly hammered in herself,
Add some ribbon,
Hang it on the wall,
Add some earrings,
HEYYY, look at that!!! It looks like an earring holder!!!!
Look at my awesome earrings!!
I think it came out quite awesome. I'm gonna need another one soon!
I hung it in our bathroom next:
Looks nice with that map of Paris, no? Yeah, I'm pretty proud of myself. I'm even thinking of making TRAVEL SIZED earring holders. Cause I have like, 6ft of screen, or something like that. I've got some ideas brewing... ;)
But in the meantime, I'll enjoy my wall hanging one :)
RANDOM SISTER PICTURE:
That's Kara and I at trivia a few weeks ago. LOVE IT!
ALSO, we bought a firepit! And we used it for the first time the other night!
It was really cool and pretty. Kara and I sat around it planning all kinds of summer events happening around it. (GET READY.)
And then, we spotted a faerie!
GUESS WHAT?!??! We've come to the end of our list! And I'm out of photos to post!
But exciting news - I'm going back to Vermont this week! So, expect lots of check-ins and exciting updates about that!
We just had a giant thunder storm here, lightening and hail included. Ruby got scared and I had to pick her up. Aw.
HOPE YOU ENJOYED all these updates and pictures of exciting things that I've been doing! I've been having a great time lately.
TALK TO YOU AGAIN SOON!!!! Hope you're having a great weekend!
lovelovelove,
Julie
