sleeping with the television and all the lights on

Grey's Anatomy is just too emotional for me. it chokes me up every time. just watched last week's episode. man. again. know what i love about the show, though? Mark and Lexi. i just really like them. together and separate. when Lexi first came on the show i HATED her. but now i think she's awesome.

know who i don't like? ALL the new people. ESPECIALLY the girl with the creeper eyes from Heroes. i think her name is Reed. and i can't remember what it was on Heroes. she was like, all flirty with Mohinder. she lived in the apartment across from his dad. and then she was secretly working with HRG. and then she ended up trying to bring down Sylar when they had him trapped in that room. but duh, he killed her. i think she had this mind power thing. is that right? and then she pointed the gun at him, but he overpowered her mind power thing, and she shot herself? is that what happened???

i want to say that her name was Morgan. but i don't think that's it at all. anyways. i'm annoyed she's on Grey's now.

hm. what else.

so, tonight, wednesday night, i'm working 3:30 until 10pm. and we're all going out for dinner. i think we're going to a chinese place. it's a birth dinner. whenever one of the girls gives birth, everybody goes out for a big dinner to celebrate. good deal for me because i'm working tomorrow! it's going to be a big crowd:

- resident 2
- resident 3
- 18 month old
- 8 month old
- 2.5 week old

fun times.

so, i took a nap tonight. i was on the phone with my mom for a while, and we were talking about the film, Milk. and so, when i got off the phone i thought, "hm, now i want to watch Milk." and i watched most of it, and then decided i was too tired. so, at 7pm, i stopped it. Ruby was already asleep on my legs. and i set my phone alarm clock for 7:30. and slept for half an hour!

it was great. then i woke up and took a bath. then went to work.

then came back upstairs. JUST as i was finished making supper, the baby started crying and i had to go downstairs.

was gone for about 40 minutes.

came back up. reheated my supper. watched Freaks and Geeks. it was the episode where Seth Rogen has a crush on the tuba girl. and Nick and Lindsey are still in love with each other. and Sam meets up with Neil's dad hugging the strange woman in the mall. drama! so good. i have another disc arriving tomorrow!!!! along with the first disc of the third season of Veronica Mars.

i was thinking about Entourage tonight. specifically Jeremy Piven. mmmm. how i miss those boys.

i'm going to try and get up and make it to the post office to get those disc. maybe get a coffee too. that will be motivating.

also, i decided that before the winter i am going to get my boots nice and cleaned up. it will be a reward for working so many hours. (in addition to the new laptop...)

so, i have these teal winter boots. i don't know what they are. maybe they're suede. i don't know. they're super warm and wonderful. OH i love them. they are winter boots, in the shape of cowboy boots. AND they are teal.

but, sometime last year while they were still in Maine, one of the cats peed on them. it was gross. and on top of that, the soles have holes in them and water leaks in.

onetime i even resorted to wrapping my feet in plastic bags so i could wear the boots. that's how much i love them.

but they smell. and all the various cleaning products i have tried to use to clean them have just not worked. so, they need to be re-dyed. and re-soled. and majorly cleaned.

so! after searching online, i have found a place that i think i will take them too. possibly next week.

Lenoci's Shoe and Leather Repair. in Rutland, Vermont. a little bit of a hike. about 40 minutes away. but it's a really pretty drive through the mountains and around rivers.

it sounds like a pretty cool place. i'm not expecting it to be cheap, but i'm expecting it to be totally worth it.

so that will be my adventure for next week. i'm excited to treat my boots to a makeover. oh, i love those boots.

aannnddddd......i think the baby is waking up. he's making little "wake up" noises.

ok. on that note, i will be off.
