another nail biter night of Veronica Mars!!!! yikes a bee. goodbye meg. goodbye deputy leo. hello wallace. goodbye duncan and baby?? THAT was a twist episode.
i'll miss Leo. he was a cutie. and i was really sad about Meg.
anyways, enough about Veronica Mars, more about me.
so! my night at work was go go GO. it was the most non-stop crazy frantic hectic frustrating night ever. probably not ever. but, it was up there. at the end of the night, once everyone was in their rooms, Courtney and i finally had a chance to debrief. slash vent. we were both getting frustrated at the same things. i actually have to email courtney tonight. i can't forget to do that.
so yeah. crazy. i was super tired from everything. it's soooooooo draining! at the end of the night courtney, jamie (the intern) and i were like, "ahhh!! we can't wait to go home!!" and then i was like, "wait a minute.....i still have to work!!!!! unfair!!!" i'm already at home because work IS MY home!
anyways. i've got the baby monitor on right now. it's been pretty quiet. some tiny whimpers every now and then, but nothing major.
OH!!! i can't forget to tell you what i've been meaning to tell you.
SO! you'll never guess who came to visit me the other night!!!!!!! are you guessing??? are you full of suspense so much that you just can't take it anymore?!?! oh alright, i'll tell you!
it was the Window Police Pro virus!!!!!!! ya know, just droppin' by for their weekly visit. i just went to go look online at some bus schedules for Kara, and they just showed up unannounced! i thought, "well now that's not very polite." i was gentle, but firm with them, and they didn't stay very long.
for serious - this is like, the fourth or fifth time in like, a month, that i've gotten this virus. i am getting pretty freaking sick of it.
and on top of that, this last time must have done something to my laptop, because i've been having trouble opening things. like, i can't open the 'add or remove programs' thing. or, anything else in the 'control panel.' and then today, i found out i couldn't double click on the time to open up the calendar. that was annoying.
and now i just don't know what to do. i think i have to majorly start saving for a new laptop. like, now.
i also did some big. something really big. i put my faith and trust in my external harddrive, and i deleted some files on my computer. i had absolutely NO space left on my C drive. like, none at all. and i had to do something about it. so, i hooked up the old exteral. made absolutely sure that i had these files copied. and then deleted them from my C drive. i hated doing it. but it had to be done!
i was sooo reluctant to do this since my last external harddrive crashed and i lost a lot of stuff. mainly pictures and videos. but still! that stuff was memories.
but! i did it.
i got another head of lettuce today from work. the outside leaves were all wilty, but i was still excited. i was less excited when i asked the girls if there was any lettuce or tomatoes in the box and they replied,
JULIE: Is there lettuce or tomatoes in that box?
GIRLS: What does lettuce look like?
JULIE: .....It's green. Leafy......
GIRLS: Um, yeah, maybe there's some.
JULIE: What about tomatoes?
GIRLS: Um, there are some round things. They're either tomatoes or apples.
JULIE: ...Okay...
GIRLS: Or onions.
this made me very sad. they didn't know what lettuce looked like. it's just.....like....i can't even.......what?!?!
so it's currently 2:51am. i'm thinking i should try and get to bed early because i have to be up early today. early like, 11am or noon. today i tried to get up at 12:30pm and didn't get up until like, 1:45pm. i didn't get to sleep until 4am.
but i have to go to the post office. and then MAYBE run to wal-mart. but, probably not. it's either tomorrow or friday.
ok. i'm going to bed. i'm tired. i had a long day. i WILL fall asleep.
oh! i'm very excited because Rooney posted their first tour date!!!!!! december......1st? i think. or, 4th? in sunny Denver, Colorado!!!! i wish it was Boston. but, it's a good sign they are posting dates!!!
today i was thinking about how much i miss Entourage. i miss my friends. i miss Ari Gold. and Lloyd. and Drama. Turtle. E. Vince. i can't wait until the next season is out on DVD. i wish i had HBO. i think i would use it.
also!!!! i was thinking today about the new HBO show Bored to Death. and how much i like it. i was able to secretly watch the second episode on youtube!! there is some saint of an hbo subscriber who vows to put every episode on youtube. so, i was able to see episode 2!! it rocked. Kristen Wiig was in it. she was great. Jason Schwartzman is also great. and! Ted Danson. he is awesome. he's really good. the show is so funny. i think everyone would like it. and the music in the show is hip. AND THE THEME SONG, well, i mean, what can you say? it's awesome.
oh! back to Veronica Mars. Sheriff Don Lamb reminds me of Andy from Weeds. yep. i said it. i still can't figure out who Keith Mars reminds me of. i had it once, but i lost it. if anyone else can tell me who he reminds you of, that might be helpful. he's such a great guy.
ok. 3:05am. now it's time for bed. have a great thursday. it's OCTOBER THE FIRST. when did this happen?!!? i really like october. kate winslet and zac hanson both have birthdays. and if that's not reason enough to love it, it's also the month where sometimes it snows, and it usually gets cold!! awesome.
hey!!!! do you all know what today was?!!?!? 30 september?!?!?!? wow. i can't believe i just remembered this. it was the day i had my interview for Hannah House! wow!!!! one year ago yesterday was the first time i came up to this area. with Maria!!! we had a great day exploring Vermont and then meeting up with Josh at Dartmouth.
and what a better way to celebrate than a frustratingly bad day at work!!!! fantastic.
i guess it's kind of an epic landmark. my interview for my first real job after college. i move to a different area. meet new people. do something totally out of my field..... have no social life whatsoever.
3:14am. ok. i've put this off long enough. well, not long enough. i could go for a while longer. but i'm going to use restraint!! and make myself go to bed.
i don't know why i put off going to bed so much. because i LOVE going to bed. same with food. sometimes i'll put dinner off until like, midnight or 1am. but i love food!!!
aw crap i meant to do more laundry tonight. it's too late now. tomorrow. you know what they always say,
why put off until tomorrow what you can do today? and if you die tomorrow, then you spent your last day on earth doing laundry.
love that saying. it's from a great scholar. a brilliant mind! genius, some might call him. but we all know him as Jimmy Fallon.
ok! 3:18am. i've put off ending this for like, 20 minutes now. GO TO BED. okay, i'm going to bed. NOW. okay, i'll go now.
goodnight friends!!!! i'll talk to you later!!!!! have wonderful days!
(heart)

why the heck not?!
so i am picking up shifts in October like IT'S NOBODY'S BUSINESS. like it's going out of style.
and like, i'm picking them up because i have nothing better to do. other than blog, of course. but i'm just realizing that with a new baby due any day now, and with the two little girls moving into the house this weekend, there could be an overlap of overnight monitoring. meaning, i could be sleeping with 2 different baby monitors in my room?!!??! monitoring three different babies at once!? one of them being a newborn.
that might get crazy.
at least all the shifts i have picked up begin at 1pm or later. that means i could at least sleep from 8am until like, noon.
i don't know why i'm telling you this.....i guess i'm just thinking out loud. i should be getting ready for work tonight! 3:30 to 10pm. and then 10pm to 8am. and then again 3:30 to 10pm. 10pm to 8am. and then friday i have off!!!!! and then SATURDAY IS BEN FOLDS! soo excited.
anyways. ok. i have to go.
REMIND ME to tell you about the latest virus and the trouble i am having getting things to open on my computer. don't forget!!!!!
i'll talk to you later. have a great evening!!!

ahoy there sparky!
i'm feeling kind of spooked out tonight. i don't really like it. and the episodes of Veronica Mars that i watched didn't really help any. i REALLY didn't like seeing the school bus after it was brought up from the dive it took off the cliff. (there was a school bus crash) that was disturbing to see the bus all crushed and broken. it reminded me of the scene (that i hate) in The Dark Knight when we see the fire engine ablaze. that also really disturbs me every time i see it.
the other part in Veronica Mars that i really didn't like (and made me teary) was when they opened up the closet to find the girl sitting there. WOW that was freaky. and HORRIBLE. omg i hated that. (it was a child abuse case)
tough stuff tonight.
but man do i love Keith Mars. he reminds me of someone and i can never figure out who. he's such a great guy!
in other news...let's see. i took a nap today. i got off work at 5:30pm. came upstairs. called my mom. had a bowl of cereal. talked to kerianne on the phone for a while! i hadn't talked to her since ireland! and then i got off the phone and after some texting to kara i said, i think i'll take a nap. and so i slept from 8pm to 9:35.
then i went downstairs to check in. all is well.
and! this is great news for me - i DO NOT have to wake up early ANYMORE! our resident who i was getting up for schoo with, is no longer going to school at that early hour! AND, there will now be an 8am staff coming in everyday, meaning i don't have to cover 8-9am.
i know this was a few extra hours a week that i was picking up. but it just made sleeping so weird. or, weirder than it already is for me.
today in birthing class we were talking about newborn sleep schedules. and the staff who teaches the class, also named Julie, was saying that newborns tend to be more awake at night, and sleep during the day. and sometimes it takes a little while to get them on a "normal" schedule.
so, i asked her why this was. and she gave us her own theory, and that's because before a baby is born, many women say that the baby is most active at nighttime, and there is less movement during the day. Julie thinks this is because when a mother is up and walking around, the baby inside is like, being swayed and rocked as they move around. so, it puts them to sleep.
but when the mother say, lays down to go to sleep, the movment stops, and the baby wakes up.
she also said that babies don't usually like bright lights or loud noises, so they go to sleep during the day and prefer to be awake at night because it takes them a while to realize that dark means sleep and light means awake.
and i thought to myself, "wow. i am just like a newborn baby!" sleep during the day. awake at night. either a newborn or a vampire. but i also don't like bright lights and loud noises. i also thought to myself, "i wonder how long it takes a baby to realize that dark means sleep and light means awake? does it take, say, 23 years?"
so, while on the phone with my mom tonight i asked her what my sleeping schedules were like when i was a newborn. and she replied with, "oh, you were up all the time." apparently i never wanted to go to sleep. until i was about 10 weeks old, and then i started sleeping in longer amounts of time.
but my mom said that i have always had trouble sleeping and my sleep schedule has always been messed up, even since i was a baby.
IN CONCLUSION, it's currently 3am and i am officially self-diagnosing myself with DSPS. or, delayed sleep phase syndrome. it occurs in about 3 out of 2000 people.
yep. there it is. i read through it all and pretty much everything sounds about right. here are some of the jobs people with DSPS would be good at:
"security work, work in theater, the entertainment industry, hospitality work in restaurants, hotels or bars, call center work, nursing, taxi or truck driving, the media, and freelance writing, translation, IT work, or medical transcription."
medical transcription!! taxi driving! call centers!! i have found my calling. um, but please notice the first: security work. like, my dream job to be a security guard at a major hollywood studio lot? YEP. although, i bet you see the most celebs in the daytime. CRAP.
also! i've been meaning to tell you about this other job that i think i want to have. OK, so you know how if you buy a tv series on dvd the episodes are split up over a certain amount of discs? right. and you know how they always leave the super big cliff hangers for the last episode on the disc? I WANT TO BE THE GUY who decides where to leave the viewers hanging!
be like, "yeah, make this episode the last one. that'll kill them!" UGH. person who decides that - i hate you, but i want to be you. it MUST be a person. i don't think they just break it down by simple math. 4 episodes per disc, over 6 discs, at 45 minutes at episode.....or whatever. NO!! there must be some.....Cliffhanger Conspiracy. yes! that's what i'll do my freelance writing about. the Cliffhanger Conspiracy.
what was the other conspiracy book i was going to write? ah yes,
The Shutter Island Scandal and the Effect is Has on the Future of the Academy Awards as it is related to American Cinema today.
Hollywood Scandels and the American Public.
wow, that's like, three books. i'll write books about made up hollywood scandels that i invent in my head while i cannot sleep due to my sleep disorder. great! bestseller!
the entry about the Shutter Island scandel was the entry where i layed out my plan to become president. of both the country, and "the academy."
doesn't hurt to dream big, am i right?
what else can i tell you.
i was in Hartford, Vermont today, which is a place that technically i have never been too. i'll tell you why this is 'technically.' BECAUSE, the creepiest and more curious town in the whole world, White River Junction, VT, is a little town INSIDE Hartford, Vermont. and, i have been to WRJ, but never actually been to the outside town of Hartford.
so actually, maybe i have technically been to Hartford. or, i technically haven't. ??? i don't know.
EITHER WAY, i went there today. and i had never been there before. and to get to the place i was going, you had to drive past this motel. The Shady Lawn Motel. we drove past it and all i could say was, "wooowwww....look at that place.." it looks like the creepiest place in the world. the name of the motel, is featured on stilts built onto the roof. it's amazing.
and, you just kind of come upon this place. it's like, we were driving down this tiny vermont road, with leaves blowing in the streets and all these cute country houses. and then there's this place! crazy.
and then! even better than this place - is the highway overpass that pretty much runs above it. you probably can't tell from those pictures on the website. there are the most giant overpasses i have ever seen in my life. they were probably like, 15 stories in the air. again, out of nowhere.
and then after this brief creeper section of road, it returned to it's normal cute country image.
so strange.
Vermont, however awesome it may be, is kind of a strange place. odd happenings in vermont are no surprise to me. and hey, we love them for that, right?
anyways. it was very blustery today. and cold. but now i am hott. my feet are really hott and i have them in front of the air conditioner. it feels really nice.
Ruby just woke up from her little snooze. she'll have something to eat now and then go back to sleep when i do. which, will be soon. it's 3:36am.
i had a nice nap. it was even nicer because i kept forgetting to hit snooze, so the alarm would go off like, 4 times. then it would stop for ten minutes. then go off 4 times. repeat. because i had my cell phone alarm clock instead of my normal ipod one. and, it plays my ringtone, which is West Coast. it was nice. i got to hear the chorus like, 80 times. because i had originally set my alarm for 8:40pm. but, didn't actually get up until 9:35pm. eh, that's okay.
tomorrow night i have Freaks and Geeks. and then the next night more VM. what a great week!
ok. i can't tell if i'm getting tired. but i think i'll go to bed. i'm working wednesday night 3:30-10pm. same on thursday. i'm happy because i am working with Courtney both nights. and the intern Jamie will also be there. she's really nice too. from Colby Sawyer.
alright friends! what have you been up to??? anything fun and exciting? or, everything fun and exciting??
have a great mid-week!!!! talk to you all later!

'if you shake kara hard enough she will appear'
KARA'S HERE!!!! tonight! we did it!!! we got her to come visit me!!! she arrived around 11:40pm saturday night.
AND! she just sent an @ message to ROONEY!!! on twitter!!! i can't believe she did it! she was telling me that a lot of their new songs remind her of David Bowie. and i was like, "well, you should tell him that." and she was like, "okay." and then she just DID IT!!!! i am impressed. it took me like, a whole day to work up the courage to message Darren.
and now is the hard part.....waiting for them to respond. OMG. i can't wait.
today was a fine day. i slept most of it.
well, i woke up at 7:35am. got dressed. meaning changed into my sweatpants. went downstairs. drove to 35 miles into vermont. very, very foggy. back at the house by 9:30am. presented the Baby think it over to our resident. she was excited at first. but, then, the baby started crying. then she was definitely not excited.
and then he wouldn't stop crying. so, i knew something was wrong. so, we let him cry for 27 minutes before i stopped him. there was nothing that could be done. we don't have the right kind of diapers for him. the diapers that came with the baby have this chip in them so the computer chip in the baby detects that he's wearing a diaper. but, the ones we have don't have the chip. so, he cries and cries and cries because the computer says he's not wearing a diaper. so, we need special diapers. and i think it was working for me yesterday because i was just using it in practice mode. and, the practice mode isn't long enough for it to detect a diaper.
so, i was bummed about this because i worked hard to figure out how to program it.
anyways. so, i went back to bed at noontime. and slept until 5:07pm. i know! so long! i wasn't expecting that.
then i hung around. ate some cucumber. talked to my mom and kara on the phone. got dressed. went to the grocery store to buy stuff to make guac with those avocados i have.
i made the guac. watched Grey's from this past week. CRIED A LOT. like, wow. i mean, i knew it was going to be sad. and i was prepared. but like, the SECOND it started, i started crying. and didn't really stop until 43 minutes later. i just kept thinking of the scene from last season when Merideth realizes that it's George who's been hit by the bus. yeah. lots of crying. buckets.
Dr. Bailey just kills me. i love her so much. when she gets upset - then it's really bad because then i get really upset. she's so great.
anyways.
kara and i are going to watch Heroes together at some point during her visit. i'm excited.
we're also going to go see Julie and Julia, i believe. it's playing in Hanover. i haven't been to Hanover since Dartmouth has been in session. i'm assuming it's pretty crazy-full of hotties.
anyways. how are you?
we've been checking the twitter every 5 minutes. can't wait for a response!!!!
okay. so, not sure about how much blogging i'll do when kara's here. we usually have pretty full days.
i hope you have a great rest of your weekend! don't forget that megan fox was on the season premiere of SNL tonight! i didn't watch it, but maybe you did. or, maybe you'd be interested in watching some of the clips. i'm sure they'll be on hulu. i predict a lot of "megan is so hott" jokes.
i don't even think she's that pretty. for realz. i can't stand her.
ok. OH!!!! Ben Lee's wife had her baby!!!! Goldie Lee. i think it's a pretty name. his wife is Ione Skye. from Say Anything. i was very excited to read that. and he posted a picture on myspace that's very cute.
okay. i'll talk to you later. have a great day. i'll talk to you soon!!!!
<3, J.
AND! she just sent an @ message to ROONEY!!! on twitter!!! i can't believe she did it! she was telling me that a lot of their new songs remind her of David Bowie. and i was like, "well, you should tell him that." and she was like, "okay." and then she just DID IT!!!! i am impressed. it took me like, a whole day to work up the courage to message Darren.
and now is the hard part.....waiting for them to respond. OMG. i can't wait.
today was a fine day. i slept most of it.
well, i woke up at 7:35am. got dressed. meaning changed into my sweatpants. went downstairs. drove to 35 miles into vermont. very, very foggy. back at the house by 9:30am. presented the Baby think it over to our resident. she was excited at first. but, then, the baby started crying. then she was definitely not excited.
and then he wouldn't stop crying. so, i knew something was wrong. so, we let him cry for 27 minutes before i stopped him. there was nothing that could be done. we don't have the right kind of diapers for him. the diapers that came with the baby have this chip in them so the computer chip in the baby detects that he's wearing a diaper. but, the ones we have don't have the chip. so, he cries and cries and cries because the computer says he's not wearing a diaper. so, we need special diapers. and i think it was working for me yesterday because i was just using it in practice mode. and, the practice mode isn't long enough for it to detect a diaper.
so, i was bummed about this because i worked hard to figure out how to program it.
anyways. so, i went back to bed at noontime. and slept until 5:07pm. i know! so long! i wasn't expecting that.
then i hung around. ate some cucumber. talked to my mom and kara on the phone. got dressed. went to the grocery store to buy stuff to make guac with those avocados i have.
i made the guac. watched Grey's from this past week.

"Strange town, San Francisco..."
"...when I bought the pumps they asked if I wanted them wrapped, or if I wanted to wear them."
- Joe, The Princess Diaries
oh hi! it's just me.
i wanted to tell you that i have conquered the Baby Think-it-Over version 3.1. it's true! i was sitting on the couch this afternoon with nothing to do. actually, it was right after i posted that i didn't want to go to the grocery store. and i saw the baby and i said, "i will conquer you!!" and i did!
i know i had said that i would photodocument my efforts. but, i didn't. there wasn't really anything to see.
i read the manual many, many times. i did two practice sessions with the baby. both of them went fine. they were 15 minutes each. so students can practice in class with their teacher.
i had to make sure it was really working and recording everything in its computer, so i laid it on it's stomach, which you're not supposed to do. i let it's head roll back, which you're obviously not supposed to do. and both times it cried until i rocked it to stop. and then they registered as NEGLECT in the computer. but, it also registered good things too. like, when i fed it on time. and burped it correctly. it was kind of fun.
know who didn't have fun with the Baby Think-it-Over?? Miss Tuesday. she was so scared. the crying woke her up from a nap and she was not happy.
but, i'm happy that i got it all figured out. i talked to my boss about it tonight and i presented her with the baby plan. i said, "when i get back from Vermont tomorrow, i'll show Resident how to use it, then i'll program it to start working at noon, and we'll go until Monday afternoon. that way, i can get the results Monday night and bring them to staff meeting on Tuesday."
she was very impressed and super, super excited about this. as was i. i'm also excited because i feel pretty good about being the "baby think it over staff." like, i'm doing more work than just sleeping.
so, yeah! she has to treat it just like a real baby. she'll get a copy of the childcare rules, and a feeding chart. so, she'll have to write down everytime she feeds or changes the baby. there's also a baby think it over cheat sheet. just so you can remember what to do when it cries.
it's kind of confusing. once it cries, you have to hold up this bracelet to a spot on it's back and if it beeps, then the baby is either hungry, needs to be changed, or burped. but if it doesn't beep, then it's just a fussy baby and you have to rock it.
i hope it works.
anyways.
so yeah, i have to be up at 7:30 saturday morning to drive to Vermont. about halfway between here and Montpelier. actually, probably more than halfway. and i am dropping off babies and a mother and then coming back by myself. i have to remember to grab my iPod hookup before i leave so i can listen to it on the way back. last week when we were driving back from Vermont it was Ryan Seacrest on the radio and i don't really want to listen to him.
man oh man i'm tired. it's 2:16am. i actually think i am going to go to bed. i think i could sleep now. i've had kind of a sneezing problem ever since tackling the baby think it over. it's probably really dusty.
okay friends. i'll be talking to you later on. have a great saturday!!!!!

lovely awkward boys
here we go.
i was up very early this morning searching and searching for the Jason Schwartzman interview on Craig Ferguson last night. it was not up online until mid-afternoon. this upset me because i searched for a long time in the morning.
but! it was worth the wait. it's a totally awkward interview, which is exactly what i was expecting/what i wanted. Jason is just so delightful in interviews.
he talks a lot about his wife. and then he tells the story of how they met. which is both heartbreaking and charming. it's like, jealousy mixed with total happiness. a weird feeling. i'm coming to terms.
anyways, him and Craig have a good time together and they plan a trip to India. which is humorous.
and, if none of this has enticed you to watch, well, Jason also is wearing a plaid shirt. delicious.
i kind of wish they had talked about his music. i think Craig is a drummer as well. but, oh well. i am satisfied for now.
alright! i think i might head to the grocery store for a little while. actually, i don't really want to do that. we'll see.
have a great night!!

a little back and forth lately
MORE EXCITING NEWS!!!!!!
i am now following HANSON on twitter. i am very excited about this. i was just professing my love of hanson to some people yesterday. not just a random mix of people. it was my coworkers and a resident. long story....we somehow started talking about the Jonas Brothers (i don't know who brought it up....definitely not me...) and someone asked, "are they the band with the kids who have long blonde hair?" and i said, "NO THAT'S HANSON I LOVE THEM TOO." and then went on to compare and contrast the JoBros and Hanson. educational, really.
SO, then tonight, i just happened to be on the Rooney twitter page and saw that they were following Hanson and then said, "what?! hanson has a twitter?!?" and then immediately started following them too.
there was one night where Robert from Rooney tweeted that he was hanging out in Tulsa with his bandmates and with the Hanson brothers. i remember this night. because i totally freaked out and went crazy when i read this.
anyways. that's my exciting Hanson news.
today was a fine day. i'm tired now.
i got a phone call at 7:45 this morning from my boss asking me if i wanted to work for her tonight. i said yes. so, i worked from 8-9am, and then from 3:30-10pm.
now i'm doing some overnight monitoring. it was a pretty quiet night. i got to hold a baby and try and get her to go to sleep. i rocked her in a rocking chair for a while, but she wasn't really having that. so, i stood up and rocked her.
we were all watching 13 Going On 30 at the time, and i think it was the sound of Mark Ruffalo's soothing voice that finally got her sleepy. what a dreamboat!
i am excited about friday. i have to be up at 6:45 for about ten minutes. and then! my dad is coming to visit me!!!!!
TODAY (25 september 2009) MY DAD is starting an epic roadtrip. he's driving from Hudson, New Hampshire, USA, to Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. EPIC. i am so totally jealous, but also really excited for him. he's stopping to see lots of great Canadian family members along the way, BUT FIRST, he's stopping to see his lovely Canadian-American daughter. ME! and we'll go out for coffee.
you see, my house is right on the way to Canada! it's a natural stopping point for many travelers. actually not really. my dad is the first traveler to canada that is stopping at my house. but, i welcome you all!
friday evening i might go to the grocery store. i have some food items that need purchasing.
BUT! wednesday here is a big day because it is the day that the box of food comes. now, i'm not sure what happens, or who drops this box off, but every wednesday there is a box of fruit and vegetables that is dropped off at the house. and the girls always complain because on wednesday one of the chores is going through the box and putting the food away. this is apparently the worst thing that they could ever do.
a few wednesdays ago i argued and argued with a resident for like, 3 hours trying to get her to put the box of food away.
and it's even worse because they just want to throw the food all away. it's perfectly good food! but, all staff members can take whatever they want, because the girls will most likely not eat it anyways. so yesterday! i took 3 tomatoes, a large bag of romaine lettuce, 2 avacados, and 1 cucumber. awesome.
so i do not need to buy lettuce for a while and this is something that will make me sleep easier at night.
and kara is coming on sunday to visit me and i am going to make GUAC!!! guacamole in the house. kara's favorite thing in the world is guac. and i am very excited to make it for her.
i sliced up the cuke yesterday for me and Ruby to eat, figuring it would be a nice afternoon snack, right? but Ruby did not like it at all. she was so, so curious as to what it was. so, i held up a little piece for her, she sniffed it, immediately made a squinty eyed face and ran out of the room.
but! every time i would eat a piece, she would come right over and the same thing would happen. she's a cutie!
tonight at work i had to run up to the second floor staff office, which is located right at the bottom of the stairs to my apartment. and i was at the door and stopped for a minute, and i could hear Ruby Tuesday crying. she must hear footsteps and then keys jingling and think it's me coming home. she just hates being by herself. i feel so guilty every time i leave her.
AAAHAHAAHH!!!!!!!! guess what?!?!?! Jason Schwartzman was on CRAIG FERGUSON tonight!!!!!!! no way! YES WAY!!! Craig and Jason. does it get any better than that? hm, let me think. no, no it does not.
and i had to sit patiently in my living room with no cable and not watch it. it was hard. i had to really distract myself. instead! i watched a sneak peek of next week's Bored to Death. and then i watched Jason and Jonathan Ames take me on a tour of Brooklyn. it was great!
but, i'm very excited to watch his interview tomorrow. he doesn't do many late night interviews. he's been on Conan doing an interview and playing in Phantom Planet. and he's been on Letterman playing in Phantom Planet.
"playing in Phantom Planet." like it's some sort of game. geeze. what should i say? 'drumming with Phantom Planet?'
anyways. i'll post the video of him on Craig so i can get all excited about it and then have nobody watch it. it's okay, i'm being realistic.
IN OTHER AWESOME NEWS: one week from Saturday i am going to see Ben Folds!!!! with Jenny!!! they are playing at The Calvin theater in Northampton, which is where i saw.....(wait for it)......HANSON!!
Hanson was the last concert i saw. and now Ben Folds. and they are both at the same place! weird!
and it's coming full circle, because we began talking about Hanson. don't you just love it? it's like, such a feeling of relief when i discover that a blog entry isn't completely meaningless.
"meaning is not in things, but in between them."
who said that? is that even right? hold on. let me check.
Norman O. Brown. he said that.
alright. it's 3:09am. friday morning. i have to be up at 6:45am. so, i'm going to head to bed. last night i went to bed at 3:25am. and the night before that, it was 2:45am. i'm getting on an earlier schedule. none of this 4am, 5am craziness.
alright, have a great friday. i'll talk to you a bit later on. i feel like we haven't talked in a while. i still have more to say. but, just not now.
love you! goodnight!

oh MAN
i just finished Season 1 of Veronica Mars. holy crap what a finale. scary! it was scary! i was seriously scared. and then i cried. i was so worried for Veronica when she was trapped in that burning fridge! omg.
then end was sad too. when it was Veronica and Lily together. i had kind of always hoped that the big twist in the whole show would be that Lily wasn't actually dead. and that she was hiding out somewhere. because when they found the speeding ticket that she got that was actually AFTER her supposed time of death, i was like, "she's alive!!" but, no. she was really dead.
man. talk about a switch from watching Jonas. during the huge "fight scene on the burning deck" between Keith and Aaron while Veronica was trapped in the fridge, i was like, "please let Kevin Jonas come in and say something witty!"
but he didn't.
AND GOOD THING i also have the first disc of season 2 here with me tonight. because the end of season 1, you see Veronica at home and she hears a knock on the door and she opens it and says, "i hoped it was you." but you don't see who is at the door!!!!
aaahhhh!!!! will it be Wallace?!! Duncan!?! LEO!!!!?? oh, i hope Leo comes back. i can't decide how i feel about Logan and Veronica. now that we know that Duncan and Veronica AREN'T brother and sister, they can go back to making out.
man, two heavy episodes back to back. the one before the finale was where Veronica discovered who raped her. that was also very intense.
MAN.
okay. it's 7:36pm. i'm working from 8-10. and i've been putting pins in this shirt getting ready to sew it. there are a lot of pins. i'm hoping it turns out alright. it was supposed to be done by 8, but i couldn't tear my eyes away from VM.
so, i should go start now.
OTHER SUPER BIG NEWS TO REPORT. like, bigger than you could ever imagine. all i'll say for now, is that it's GOOD DAY.
love!
ps: i also cried when we found out that Keith was really Veronica's father. i love him so much.
more love!

"we were on our way home and we found a stray....."
STELLA: Puppy!
NICK: Kitten!
KEVIN: Umbrella!!
JOE: BUNNY!!
friends, you are in for a treat. a feast for your eyes. get our your sunglasses and sunscreen because this entry is going to be hott.
i have found a moment in the show JONAS that includes a cardigan, a vest, and a plaid shirt. usually, in every episode, we are able to find 2 out of those 3 items on any given Jonas. but here is a rare instance where each one of them is wearing one of these classic hipster items.
let's take a look.
from left to right, we have Kevin, wearing a blue and grey striped cardigan. we have Nick, wearing a dark green and white plaid shirt. and we have Joe, wearing a brown vest. now, this is almost a BONUS JONAS scene because Joe is also wearing a scarf.
wow. so great.
that gold structure that Kevin and Nick are leaning on is a fire pole hole. they live in an old firehouse. it's kind of strange. it's like in The Princess Diaries. Mia also lives in an old firehouse. but, there was this really funny moment in this episode that the picture is from where they were trying to lead normal lives despite being surrounded by fans the whole time. and, they were creating this device to lower themselves out of windows:
KEVIN: It's amazing how strong these window frames are!
NICK: One of the good things about living in an old firehouse.
KEVIN: .....So that's why there are poles everywhere!!
i don't know why they make Kevin out to be so clueless. i think he's hilarious. Kara calls him, "the creepy older one."
this past weekend me and Kara were talking about the JoBros and i asked,
JULIE: What does Joe do when he's not singing?
KARA: Um, he just dances around.
this made me laugh so hard. because, you never really see him playing any instruments. on the show's opening credits he's playing guitar. Joe seems like the kind of guy that would play piano.
but, Nick seems like he actually does a lot of the singing. which is too bad because i think Joe has a better voice. another thing about Nick, is that he seems kind of awkward on the drums. but, it's okay i guess because he writes like, 5 songs a minute.
okay. i'm going to stop talking about the Jonas Brothers. i have one hour to wash my hair and go to the post office. and then i have a birthday party to enjoy.
i'll talk to you all later! i'm working 8-10pm tonight. funfunfun.
alright! love you!
<3
NICK: Kitten!
KEVIN: Umbrella!!
JOE: BUNNY!!
friends, you are in for a treat. a feast for your eyes. get our your sunglasses and sunscreen because this entry is going to be hott.
i have found a moment in the show JONAS that includes a cardigan, a vest, and a plaid shirt. usually, in every episode, we are able to find 2 out of those 3 items on any given Jonas. but here is a rare instance where each one of them is wearing one of these classic hipster items.
let's take a look.
from left to right, we have Kevin, wearing a blue and grey striped cardigan. we have Nick, wearing a dark green and white plaid shirt. and we have Joe, wearing a brown vest. now, this is almost a BONUS JONAS scene because Joe is also wearing a scarf.
wow. so great.

bored to death
WAIT! hold on. no, i'm not going to try and force you to watch the free episode of Bored to Death anymore. (Bored to Death. starring Jason Schwartzman, Ted Danson and Zach Galifinazkis. airs Sunday nights on HBO!)
rather, i would like to use this subject to describe my current mood.
OMG i'm so bored. it's 7:31pm right now. still working. been working since 12:30pm. and i haven't been doing a thing. except birthing class. which was fine.
i watched some clips of my fave 'Jonas' episode on youtube. the one with the home videos.
i am very hungry right now. i had a sandwich around 1pm. i'm going to go upstairs and eat and take a bath. but probably not at the same time.
i should be able to leave work around 7:45pm.
also, i'm really tired. i can't wake up. and i'm soooooo happy that i can sleep in tomorrow. i don't have to wake up before school, and i don't have to work 8-9. i am very excited about this.
i have to go to the post office. i'll have THREE netflix waiting for me! 2 discs of Veronica Mars and MY FIRST DISC of Freaks and Geeks. it's happening. i am watching it.
wow, two new shows in the same week! Freaks and Geeks and Jonas! cr-azy.
and then tomorrow afternoon i'm going to a birthday party. here. for one of the girls. i'm excited because there will be pizza and chips.
hmmm. what else can i talk about during my bored time here.
OH! remember the Phantom Planet videos about Jeff's boredom? he was like, "hello, welcome to my boredom." that was funny. Jeff rules.
i was even so bored at work today, i read an article talking about the soundtrack listing for Twilight: New Moon. YEAH. that's how bored i was!
the one song that intrigued me the most was something by this woman who calls herself St. Vincent, but her real name is Annie...something. and she is performing with some guy. but, when she's not performing she is a member of the Polyphonic Spree AND she also tours with Sufjan Stevens! i was impressed with this. and it also made me excited.
not excited for the New Moon. just that one song on the soundtrack. i'll probably see the New Moon, but not until it comes out on video.
oookkkkkk. hm. what else can i tell you to pass some time?
i read an interview with J.Schwartz the other night. he was talking about the new show. but, in the intro to the interview the person writing said that his performance in Rushmore was probably "one of the greatest first attempts at acting." i was very excited to read this. and then i immediately thought about Emily Watson. and her first attempt at acting in Breaking the Waves. that was awesome.
i'm trying to get Kara to come visit me this weekend. any help and encouragement from you all would be great.
ok. 7:47pm.
i have to do some sewing tonight.
i also read something today about how Nick and Joe are starting to plan Kevin's bachelor party and how it will be "good, clean" fun. they should turn it into a reality ep of JONAS.
7:49.
WAIT! i think i just heard a car pull into the driveway. is it time for me to leave?!!
YES YESYES!!!!
k! have a great night! talk to you sooooon!
<3
um, awesome!
KEVIN: It's not our fault Joe destroyed Mom's movies!
JOE: You poured the batter!
KEVIN: You're the one who got the bowl with the holes in it.
JOE: It's a 'calineder.'
KEVIN: It's a 'calendar.'
NICK: It's a COLANDER.
brillz.
"and we could get an otter that plays the trumpet!"
ok. so, i was home in maine from sunday morning to monday evening. during this time, Kara and i had many discussions about the JoBros. specifically about their tv show and their song 'Paranoid,' which is awesome.
so, Kara left to go back to school around 4pm on monday. and then my mom took a nap. so, i used this time wisely to get caught up on my tv. since i do not have cable in my apartment, sometimes when i'm home, i like to sit and watch tv. i think this is reasonable. sometimes it's fun to just flip through channels.
SO, i was looking at the exciting TV guide channel and trying to decide what i wanted to watch. here were my options:
- Little People, Big World
- When Did You Last See Your Father?
- Grey's Anatomy
- Wizards of Waverly Place
THEN, at 5pm, i saw that
- Jon and Kate Plus 8
AND
- JONAS
were coming on. NICE. i thought to myself. i watched Little People Big World until Jon and Kate came on. then flip flopped between that and the Jonas Brothers show.
i had only seen a snippet of the JoBros show while in Ogunquit this past summer visiting with Aliya and her cousins. we watched it for like, 10 seconds. but, Kara is very strong in her opinion that it is the absolute worst show ever created. it makes her hate the JoBros.
so, i began watching the episode. it was the episode called, 'Detention' where, to prove that he's treated no different than anyone else, Joe Jonas tries to get a detention. he's doing this all to win the heart of Abby.
and i'm like, loving it. holy crap this is the best show ever. let me try and recreate some dialogue for you:
JOE: How am I going to get a detention before the end of the day!?
KEVIN: I can have 25 goats and a wooden barrel here in an hour. Just let me know.
that Kevin is HILARIOUS. anyways, i flipped between the JoBros and Jon and Kate. at times, it was hard to determine who was being cuter, the sextuplets, or the JoBros.
anyways. immediately i wanted to watch more of the show. i secretly wished there was a marathon.
so, the next step was Netflix. i went on to see if they had the JONAS dvds. NOT ONLY did they have all of season 1, BUT you can watch them instantly through the computer.
my plan for the night was set. oh yeah.
so, i had a nice supper with my mom. got my things together. then around 7:20pm i left to come back home. nice drive back. listened to my awesome playlist. arrived back here at 9:30pm.
checked in with work. things were fine. went upstairs. there were three different toys sticking out under my door. courtesy of Miss Tuesday. she was very excited that i was back. and she immediately wanted food.
so, i stayed with her for a little. we played fetch with some round things and some twisty ties. she was happy about this.
then i changed into my pajamas and settled on the couch for a long night of JONAS.
WOW. wow. wow! that's all i have to say about that show. i was laughing so hard. it was unreal.
i watched like, 4 or 5 episodes. MAN. so good. i just love how they say "awesome" all the time. and how in every scene in the show, they are all wearing some combination of cardigans, vests, and plaid shirts. IT'S SO GREAT.
they are so effing cute i can't stand it.
the best episode was the second one. where they forget their mom's birthday so at the last minute they decided to transfer all the home videos onto dvd. but then there is chaos while baking the cake, long story short - they destroy the home movies. and then Kevin comes up with this totes brillz idea to recreate the home videos.
he's like, "we can't save the videos, but we can save the memories."
it was a beautiful moment. so, they recreated all their home movies from when they were little. omg they were cute babies. you could totally tell that they were their actual home videos. Frankie Jonas wasn't born yet, and he wasn't happy about that. but they included him in some scenes anyways.
another great part was from episode 3. where all three Jonas Brothers fall for the same girl! uh oh. it's the girl who delivers pizza to their house. so, they turn to the Jonas Book of Law, or something, which is this very old, old book detailing the "brotherly law" or whatever. it was awesome. of course the law states that if all three brothers are "crushing" on the same girl, no Jonas will date her.
but of course they still fight about it. and they're all so in love with her and then they talk to their stylist/friend/girl who has a crush on Joe, Stella. and she says,
STELLA: Okay, if you all are so in love with her, name one thing she does besides deliver pizza.
JOE: Her hair is shiny.
NICK: She smells nice.
KEVIN: She delivers garlic bread!
KEVIN!!! that son of a gun. he makes me laugh so hard. he's like, the crazy one. Joe is the hott ladies man. and Nick is the serious/intense one.
oh man, it's so great. i seriously can't wait to watch more tonight.
AND THEN. guess what else i had to do last night?
um, remove the freaking Windows Police Pro virus from my computer FOR THE THIRD TIME. or, is the the fourth time? however many times, i can pretty much remove the virus blind.
and do you know what i was doing when the virus popped up!??! i was looking up the lyrics to a Demi Lovato song. the most unsuspicious thing ever.
ok, i lied. i was looking up the video to the song. at first i didn't want to say video because i didn't want you to know that i was actually watching the Demi Lovato video.
but then i realized that this whole post has been about me loving the JoBros show. and then decided that it didn't really matter what you thought of me at this point.
ok. anyways. i got the virus off. or, probably not. but, at least for now. i'm kind of sick of this. and, when i started up the computer last night i got the BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH at first. and then i immediately had to restart it. so, i think it's pretty sick.
so. i'm working right now. here is what i've done today:
- slept from 3:45am - 7:45am
- worked from 8am-9:15am
- slept from 9:30am-noon
- working from 12:30pm-6:30pm ish
we've got birthing class in half an hour. then hanging out until 6:30ish. then courtney comes back.
i've gotten to hang out with some very beautiful baby girls today! and i am now proud to say that i know all the songs on the Elmo movie. Elmo in Grouchland, i believe.
OH. one more quick thing.
THIS IS WHAT I WANT FOR MY BIRTHDAY: it's all i want. everyone pitch in because it costs $700. it's a WEEKLONG LIGHTHOUSE KEEPER job on Rose Island off of Newport, Rhode Island. you get to stay in the lighthouse for a week and they teach you what to do! you don't get paid for doing it, but all your expenses plus the $700 are tax deductible.
i've already checked availability and the week of my birthday is open! it's cheaper in the winter, although it's probably freezing. there's a whole apartment on the second floor of the lighthouse house that i can stay in. it's like, 6-8 hours a day, 5 days a week that you work. but you get to live in the lighthouse! and help out!
i think it sounds pretty cool. and the lighthouse is beautiful. and it's right in Rhode Island! it's perfect.
so there! no more worrying about what to get me for my birthday. because i know you're probably all starting to worry. 25 february 2010! save the date! best day ever!
and i know what you're thinking,
"but julie, you probably won't be able to watch the Academy Awards if you're living in a lighthouse..."
BUT, that's all set because the Awards aren't until 7 March 2010. HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMILY! the Oscars are on your birthday. trust me, it's the best gift you could ever receive.
so, i'll be done with my lighthouse keeper duties by then.
ALRIGHT. to birthing class we go. have a good afternoon. i'll talk to you later, maybe. or, i might be too busy watching JONAS.

WOW. that's my day in list-form. that might just get the award for most boring, most unattractive post ever. i heart paragraphs.
there were no previews on The Prince and Me. that made me upset. i have it on VHS. usually VHS tapes always have previews. i hadn't watched that movie in a long time.
OH! i know what i did online for a long time tonight. OLDNAVY.COM. yeah, i have a cart-full of items that i will probably never buy. i've been doing this thing recently where i go through their entire SALE section online and put everything in "my cart" that i want. and then look at the end to see how much money i would spend if i actually bought everything. is that sad? i guess it sounds kind of pathetic. but, it's fun.
AND, they have plaid shirtdresses. oh wait, i think i already told you that. BUT, they also have these great boots. i've been looking on all these different websites lately for boots. like, tall boots.
GOAL FOR FALL 2009:
to wear tall boots over leggings with a dress
yep. that's my goal. i am only partly ashamed of sharing it with you.
i also want to own both of the Coconut Records CDs in actual cd form. i want to hold them in my hand. also, there are bonus tracks on the cd that i want. and they come with a free sticker, free postcard, and free poster. free Jason poster? mmm delish.
i'm not putting that as a goal, though.
i would like to be able to buy a Coconut Records CD from a Coconut Records CONCERT. but, i don't think there will ever be any Coconut Records concerts. hey, a girl can dream.
so, i'm going home tomorrow. today. Sunday. the 20th. OMG Heroes premieres tomorrow night!!! AAAHH! the Emmys are tonight! Bored to Death premieres tonight!!!! WOW, so much happening. Grey's is this week too. yikes. how am i going to keep up with all my tv shows as well as all my Netflix?? it's going to be a challenge.
anyways. just letting you know i'm going home. so, there might not be another update before monday night. or, tuesday morning.
i'm excited for my drive home because i made a totally rad playlist. it's 3 hours long. 54 great songs. i titled the playlist, 'i think the food is haunted' which is a quote from one of my favorite Phantom Planet blog videos.
AAHHHH!!!! and i just watched the blog video (which you should too) to make sure i got that quote right (checkin' my sources..) AND AND AND, ALEX does my favorite greeting!!!! which i totally did not remember! he says, "oh hello jeff, i didn't see you there." it's awesome. and it's a funny video.
how come every band in the world doesn't make blog videos??
dear every band in the whole world,
blog videos. it's what the people want.
love, julie
for realz. and, like with the Phantom Planet and Rooney blog vidoes, they never stop being funny. never. even if i know what's going to happen.
just like how every time i watch A Little Princess i cry - every time i watch a PP or Rooney blog vid i laugh. they are just full of attractive, hip men being witty and funny and sometimes singing songs. and, that's really all i want in my life.
ALRIGHT. i think it's time for bed now.
HERE IS MY PROBLEM - the longer i stay awake, the more awake i become. until there is a crossing point, and then i am dead tired.
anyways. i will stop boring you with my lame sleep schedule stories. i am driving home in the morning. hopefully leaving here by 10am. i have to stop by Hollywood Video. see my non-ABBA singing boyfriend and return those flicks. probs get a coffee. then head home while jamming out to my mix.
i think i used the word 'rad' in this entry. i used that word in a sentence today when i was discussing something with myself. and i thought, "hm, i liked that." so, i'll be trying to use it in my daily speak.
that sentence sounded funny.
okay bud. time for me to hit the bed. i was soooooo comfortable in my bed last night. i just was not tired at all.
but, when i got back into bed this morning after 10am, i couldn't relax. my body was so tense. and i was having a hard time breathing. and, i have been having a hard time breathing all day. but, this morning i read the side effects of my inhaler med and it said, "restlessness, sleeplessness" and i decided that maybe i should limit myself. i usually take it right before i go to bed, or else i most likely will wake up in the night and have to take it.
i don't know. i'm feeling tired and i should embrace this feeling and go to bed. which, i am going to do right now.
alright. have a great sunday. tomorrow is monday! another week of possibility begins!!! i kind of hate it when i say that. it sounds so dorky and cheesy. but, i keep saying it.
okay. have good days. have a good breakfast. or lunch or dinner. i hope the weather is good where you are. drive safe. be cool. stay rad. !!!
stay rad, ponyboy.
that's what he should have said.

okay. have good days. have a good breakfast. or lunch or dinner. i hope the weather is good where you are. drive safe. be cool. stay rad. !!!
stay rad, ponyboy.
that's what he should have said.

i'm all outta luck, but what else would i be?
ooo i'm tired tonight. it's 2:33am. i'm probably going to bed early.
i just wanted to share with you this review i read. it's a GOOD review of HBO's new show, 'Bored to Death!' which, i know i have been talking about recently. Jason Schwartzman's tv show. this guy reviewing it liked it. although, he says to stick it out past the pilot, because it gets way better. he didn't like the pilot. i liked it.
YOU DECIDE, when you click on that link and watch it for yourself. what else do you have to do for half an hour? ok, go get a snack. go get yourself a cold beverage (or a hot beverage, it doesn't really matter!), and then come back and get comfy and watch the episode. i really liked it. seriously.
the reviewer calls the show, "smart and pretentious." come on! it doesn't get much better.
BUT, i will disagree with him on something. he says that Jason's character, "might, in fact, be hatable, if he weren't played by Schwartzman, who makes the character a perfectly plausible extension of Max Fischer from "Rushmore."
I WILL agree with him that Jason Schwartzman makes everything more likable. i mean, DUH. if he were in every movie, wrote every song, and appeared on every tv show, there would be no such thing as a bad review.
I DON'T agree that his character on the show is a plausible extension of Max Fisher. at first when i read that i was like, "aww, max fisher, yeah!" and then i was like, "wait a minute, what is he saying?" and i read it again. and then i thought, "um, no, i don't think so." but, i thought about it.
i don't want to think about Max Fisher as a grown up. he should always remain a high school student.
AND IF Max were to grow up, he would turn into an award winning playwright. definitely not a struggling writer, pot and white wine addicted, fake detective.
Max should have an "up, up, up" career. not an "up, down, down" career. Wes saved that for The Royal Tenenbaums. but, we still love them.
anyways.
busy night. we have two beautiful baby girls here right now. 7 months and 17 months. oh, they are so sweet. they are sleeping right now. i know this because i have them monitored. good 'ol overnight monitoring!! everybody loves it. except Ruby Tuesday. i think it made her kind of nervous at first, when the babies were still awake.
but, it was busy here having babies to take care of. it was like, "wait a minute, i can't sit in the office, put on Coconut Records and blog all night?" oh no, i have to hold babies, move furniture so their toy bikes can get through, search for diapers and compliment them for being nice to their baby dolls.
i forgot how much fun it is to talk in a high pitched voice. it's true.
but man, i came home and i was tired. just watching babies is tiring. especially the 17 month old. actually, both of them. both of them were go, go, GO tonight.
but, remember how i said there would be 5 girls in the house tonight? yeah. there's only 4. not going to get into it. but, that was stressful too.
SO. what else did i do today? um, kill a disc of Veronica Mars. YEP. i'm sad to see Leo go. i really liked him. but VM and Logan?!?! hott. except, maybe not? the end of the episode i just watched she left him hanging.
anyways. great show. AND I LOVE HER DAD SO MUCH. have i talked about how much i love him? i just think he's the greatest. and i love their interactions. especially around what they will have for dinner. oh, it's so great.
so, i have to be up early saturday morning. like, 7:45am. driving somewhere in Vermont with the two babies and their mother. then coming home.
i have sunday night off. looking forward to that. going home for the night. seeing my dad on monday.
alright. it's 3am. i might go to bed now. the past two nights i've gone to bed when it was getting light out. i need to try and kick that habit. and i should be able to sleep because the girls are pretty quiet.
OMG, the 7 month old had the most gorgeous pajamas. it was like a light green onesie with little pink flowers. i loved it. i held her for a long time and told her that i loved it. oh, she's the sweetest.
ok. for realz. bed now.
oh! i made raspberry hot cocoa tonight. and i added vanilla soy milk. DELISH. i hadn't had raspberry cocoa in a while. it was so great.
and, when i was walking up the stairs to my apartment tonight, Ruby was crying at the door, like always, but this time she had actually brought some of her toys over and stuck them under the door. there was a twisty tie sticking out and a yellow thing off of an apple juice container. it was pretty funny. she loves playing so much!
ok! goodnight friends. hope you had a great friday! i'll talk to you later. any fun plans for the weekend?!

spin round three more times, open your eyes, tell me what you see
OH WOW. i just finished watching season 4 of Weeds. CR-AZY to the max. i felt really bad for the DEA agent. also, i like that we're seeing more of Andy's sweet side. silas = hottie. seeing him makes me think of two things:
1. Sylar from Heroes. (also a super hottie)
2. Zac Efron in 17 Again. (also a super hottie)
basically when i think of Silas, i think of very good things. i propose that those three guys team up and do a movie together. they should do a musical version about slicing heads open and dealing pot. that way it would incorporate all of their strengths as characters.
the reason i think of Zac is because the kid who plays Silas was in 17 Again. he was the punk kid who Zac totally showed up in the 'basketball tricks in the cafeteria' scene. LOVED that part. i'll see if someone put it on youtube yet. hold on.
OH YES. it's here. ok, let me set up the clip and pretend i'm on a late night talk show. In this clip, we're going to see Zac showing up the high school bully in the cafeteria. Now, you should know that Zac is really a 37 year old guy stuck in a 17 year old's body. The boy he's talking to in the clip is actually his son, and the girl they mention, is his daughter.
DREAMBOAT. oh zac. he's such a great performer. got some great moves. i seriously think this scene is awesome. i'm totes impressed.
in other celeb news:
1. these pictures of Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley's new baby girl made me tear up. they are really beautiful.
2. A piano and a ping pong table.
wow. those pictures really made me cry. is it me, or am i just crying all the time lately? i also teared up at the end of Weeds. when she was in the car writing the birthday card for Silas. yeah.
i feel like David Letterman. you know how he always says that after become a father, everything just makes him cry? that's what i feel like. like, living in this house with these girls and their babies/unborn babies. for serious. is that totally lame? no, i don't think so.
like, last weekend when the girl came running down the stairs yelling my name. and i thought something was wrong. and i had a heart attack pretty much. and then was so relieved that she only wanted her mp3 player, that i got all teary. like, if something had happened, i don't know what i would do. i mean, i know what i would do, but i don't know what i would do. ya know?
friday night we've got two baby girls coming. i'm really excited to meet them. there is going to be 5 people in the house tomorrow night!! busybusybusy.
i think i'm probably definitely going to cry in the delivery room when the new baby is born. yeah. i just realized this the other day. i was thinking about it and then i thought, "yeah, i'm probs gonna cry." i mean, a new baby! being born! like, what else is there? it's probably going to be totally terrifying and totally amazing. how often do you get that combination?
anyways. let me tell you about my awesome day!
1. i went to the post office to get my Netflix. they were supposed to arrive yesterday. i opened my mailbox and there was NO yellow slip telling me i had a package. i was very confused about this. i stood there making sure it wasn't hiding anywhere. and then started to get sad. i was counting on those Netflix being there YESTERDAY.
so, i decided that i would go to the window anyways.
JULIE: Hi, um, I didn't get a yellow slip in my box, but I think I'm supposed to have some Netflix here. Would you mind checking, please?
USPS WORKER: Sure! What's your box number?
JULIE: (insert box number here)
USPS WORKER: Ok, I'll check. (is gone for a little while. comes back, holding two Netlix.) It's always worth checking!!
JULIE: Awesome! Thank you so much!!
again, the postal workers in the Lebanon, NH post office are the greatest people. they are so nice and friendly.
oh, i was so happy. i had Weeds and Veronica Mars!!!
2. then i went to Wal-Mart. it was strange because the parking lot had turned into a giant RV campground. there were probably 15 giant RVs parked in the parking lot. all together in a little huddle. and some people had chairs set up outside and everything. it was so, so strange.
i learned earlier this year that people are allowed to park their RVs for free in Wal-Mart parking lots. under the assumption they will go inside and buy Wal-Mart stuff. i didn't know that before. but, i had also never seen so many RVs parked together at Wal-Mart. it made me a little sad.
i went inside looking for headphones. i got some! and so far, i'm not disappointed. EXCEPT, the one on the left kind of makes my earring hurt. but, it's not the headphone's fault. it's my own fault for getting my stupid ear pierced. anyways. they work pretty well.
and i was in the audio accessory aisle looking at cables and things i don't understand. and then i thought, "hm, i wonder if there is such a thing as an extender cable for my speakers." like, to make the cable longer. but, still with a normal headphone jack on the end.
and i focused for a minute and read all the descriptions on the cables until i found one! they do exist!!! you plug the speaker cable into this other cable, which has a normal headphone jack on the other end.
because, i think the cord on these speakers is a little shorter than my other ones. and i am constantly forgetting that they are plugged into my laptop, and i move my laptop and the speakers fall of the shelf. haha. it's kind of funny when you think about it. but, not really. because, i don't want them to break. so, now i have a longer cord!
i had a problem, and i fixed it! so great.
so, i bought the cable. and i bought the headphones. and i bought Ruby more wet food.
3. then i went to the grocery store. i needed lettuce and tomato. and coffee. and Ruby needed more dry food, which you can only get at the grocery store. and lucky for her, they were on sale, 2 bags for $8. normally they are $5.49 a bag. i was excited about this. and i got her 2 bags. she was excited to see them when i got home. she gets the all natural dry food in the pretty green bag. she loves it.
in the check out line the cashiers and the baggers were talking about Extreme Home Makeover coming to Lebanon. one of the cashiers had signed up to volunteer to help out. is this possible? they ask for normal people to help build houses? okay, it's kind of exciting.
4. then i drove home. i've been going home the non-highway way every time i go into West Lebanon. there's the way home on I-89, or there's the way home on the little windy road with the one-lane bridge. it's pretty. but, scary at nighttime.
but the best part: there is a skate park. with like, skateboard ramps and everything. i don't know what they're actually called. like, those ramps? do you know what i'm talking about? they are "U" shaped. and they skate in the middle.
oh man, do i looooove watching these kids do skate tricks. i get so excited every time they are there. it's like, the boys who wear Vans and skinny jeans. and probably straighten their hair. loves them! and i love watching them skateboard. it's like, Lords of Dogtown mixed with Patrick Wilson watching the skateboarders in Little Children.
and it's great because the speed limit on that road is 30mph, so you can go slow and watch them. not in a creepy way. but in a semi-jealous way.
5. got home and discovered some AWESOME new music. AND THIS IS THE BEST PART OF THE DAY. nay, THE BEST PART OF MY YEAR. i'm trying to think of something more cool that has happened to me this year. the time where i talked to Josh Young. the time where i went to Ireland. THIS TIME is being added to those times.
ok. let me try and explain without freaking out.
so, i get home, and check email. check facebook. check twitter. and i see on Twitter that Darren Robinson (from Phantom Planet, duh) has updated a few times.
from his tweets, i find out that he's in this new band, (awesome and sad at the same time), and they have a myspace page.
THE CALIFORIAN
ok, if you've never clicked on a link i have posted, if you've never seen a movie i've recommended, if you've never listened to a song or watched a video that i think awesome - CLICK ON THAT LINK.
this band is great. they are so great that for like, the past 6 hours i have been listening to their 4 songs on repeat. no kidding. I LOVE IT. the song 'Spin Round' is the most addicting.
they are so different from Phantom Planet it's crazy. other than the fact that they ROCK. i'm serious. i was instantly addicted to their songs. GO DARREN. that guy can make some good music.
anyways. in addition to tweeting about his new band... (OH! what he said was they were probably going to play a show in LA on 28 October, opening for LENKA. soooo.....i'm in. who else wants to go? that sounds like the cutest show ever. Darren + Lenka = adorbs.)... he tweeted about these Phantom Planet memoirs that he's writing.
YES, it's true.
that's what he said. very early days of Phantom Planet. sounds super great and super sexy.
and i was just soo excited about everything. the new music, the phantom planet memoirs, that i could barely contain it. i was seriously hyped.
and i thought, I HAVE TO SEND DARREN A TWEET. i have to do it. i can't NOT do it. i am so excited right now. and i looked to Ruby Tuesday to approval, and even though she was sleeping, i could tell she wanted me to do it.
so. I DID. i sent Darren a tweet. yep. ME. DARREN. tweeting. out in the open. i sent it. and then i immediately had to get away from the computer. because, i would have been checking my twitter ever 3 seconds.
so, i took a bath. tested out the new 'phones. they work great. WHATEVER BACK TO DARREN.
i got out of the bath and super calmly went to my computer. checked my email. oh look! a new email. that's great. hm, a spam email. loves it. oh, i think i'll just check my twitter very nonchalantly like i do everyday. not expecting to see a tweet from a celeb or anything. nope, whatever. just a normal day....
EXCEPT IT'S NOT A NORMAL DAY!!!!! it's the day ME AND DARREN HAD A CONVERSATION ON TWITTER.
BEHOLD!
be still my heart.
oh, so totally loves it. is that not the coolest thing you've experienced all day? you are allowed to be really jealous. IT'S DARREN. the guitarist for Phantom Planet!!! the guy i love! remember how much i used to talk about Darren?!!? sooooo much! this means that he was thinking about me for a probable total of like, 10 seconds. THAT'S ENOUGH FOR ME. it might seem like nothing compared to the years and years i have been thinking about him. but, he's a celeb, so him thinking about me, weighs more than a common-folk like me thinking about him.
guys, this is the greatest. i'm so thrilled about this i can't even explain it. although, i will probably try and explain it nonstop for the next week. it's so cool!
PLEASE check out that music. don't do it for me, do it for Darren. and also watch this video of Darren cooking a turkey to hike in. yeah, you read that right.
wow. what a day. what a great day. great to the max.
that's all that happened. i can't top anything after the Darren story. Ruby Tuesday is sleeping on my arms right now and it's kind of hard to type. but, she's so tired. she woke up from a snooze in the front room, and she came in for a snooze on my lap. she's just waiting for her second supper.
my cell phone wasn't working today. so, if you tried to call or text, i probably didn't get it. we'll see about tomorrow.
i have to start tweeting to Rooney. and Coconut Records. well, i don't think it's actually Jason who does the Coconut Records twitter. but, all the Rooney guys do theirs. Robert went golfing today. fyi.
now is the time where i tell you my schedule for the next day:
FRIDAY:
6:45 - 8am: work
8am - ??: sleep
?? - 6pm: (blank)
6pm - 10pm: work
wow! what a great day. i'm actually excited about work because i will be working with Courtney. and we've got the two baby girls coming.
saturday i have to get up early to drive someplace in vermont. i need more details about that. and then also saturday sometime, i'm hoping to meet up with my friend Meg's husband Matt! he's going to be in the area this weekend doing Army related things. and i haven't seen him in a super long time!
alright. good day. i'm in a great mood. who can sleep after having a twitter conversation with Darren? not me.
it's 4am. early friday morning. i wonder if i tried really hard if i could get on a "normal" sleep schedule. like, 11pm to 9am. i wonder if i could do that. i'm not going to try. i'm just wondering. i don't think i could do that. why would i want to? then i would miss the whole night.
alright. still loving this nailpolish. have a great night! i'll talk to you later on friday. probably not too early.
i realize i said, 'have a great night' above. it's nighttime now, but you may in fact be reading this in the morning. if that is the case, have a great day!! i realize i have to accomodate for all sleep schedules and time zones. and i am happy to do so.
i'm hott right now. i wish my air conditioner would cycle on.
alright! again! this is me, ending the blog. please enjoy that music. i still am. and i'm excited to wake up tomorrow and enjoy it some more.
love to you. and love to everyone else. have a great friday.
everything that you want looks just like everything you need.

ok, if you've never clicked on a link i have posted, if you've never seen a movie i've recommended, if you've never listened to a song or watched a video that i think awesome - CLICK ON THAT LINK.
this band is great. they are so great that for like, the past 6 hours i have been listening to their 4 songs on repeat. no kidding. I LOVE IT. the song 'Spin Round' is the most addicting.
they are so different from Phantom Planet it's crazy. other than the fact that they ROCK. i'm serious. i was instantly addicted to their songs. GO DARREN. that guy can make some good music.
anyways. in addition to tweeting about his new band... (OH! what he said was they were probably going to play a show in LA on 28 October, opening for LENKA. soooo.....i'm in. who else wants to go? that sounds like the cutest show ever.
6pm - 10pm: work
wow! what a great day. i'm actually excited about work because i will be working with Courtney. and we've got the two baby girls coming.
saturday i have to get up early to drive someplace in vermont. i need more details about that. and then also saturday sometime, i'm hoping to meet up with my friend Meg's husband Matt! he's going to be in the area this weekend doing Army related things. and i haven't seen him in a super long time!
alright. good day. i'm in a great mood. who can sleep after having a twitter conversation with Darren? not me.
it's 4am. early friday morning. i wonder if i tried really hard if i could get on a "normal" sleep schedule. like, 11pm to 9am. i wonder if i could do that. i'm not going to try. i'm just wondering. i don't think i could do that. why would i want to? then i would miss the whole night.
alright. still loving this nailpolish. have a great night! i'll talk to you later on friday. probably not too early.
i realize i said, 'have a great night' above. it's nighttime now, but you may in fact be reading this in the morning. if that is the case, have a great day!! i realize i have to accomodate for all sleep schedules and time zones. and i am happy to do so.
i'm hott right now. i wish my air conditioner would cycle on.
alright! again! this is me, ending the blog. please enjoy that music. i still am. and i'm excited to wake up tomorrow and enjoy it some more.
love to you. and love to everyone else. have a great friday.
everything that you want looks just like everything you need.

fluent in finnish?
Confessions of a Shopaholic? LOVED IT. omg, i thought it was so cute. Isla Fisher was so funny. i loved all her little side comments or things she said under her breath. i laughed a lot. LOVED her green scarf. LOVED her parents. i thought they were hilarious together.
also - loved her friend's choice of bridesmaids gowns. so, her best friend gets married. and each of her bridesmaids wore these great dresses. i think the dresses were mainly the same style, but in all different colors! Isla's was hott pink. another was bright blue. maybe another was lime green. all really hip colors. i loved it.
anyways, i thought it was great. it made me want to go shopping. and i TOTALLY loved her dress on the DVD menu for the Bonus Features. it was a red plaid shirt dress.
i've had a secret goal for about a month: to buy a plaid shirt dress. a super cute one.
there. no longer a secret goal.
she reminded me of Elle Woods a little. where, she just radiated happy. she could just get through any tough situation with her good attitude and ability to get along with people!! love that. nothing fake. she's just who she is. loves it.
ok. moving on.
in other news, i DEFINITELY cried while reading the new Vogue article with Michelle Williams talking about raising Matilda after Heath died. that link takes to you the Celebrity Baby Blog posting of the article.
omg! and i just re-read part of the article while posting that link for you - and started crying again! ahhh! it's so sad! but wow, Michelle Williams sounds like such an awesome, strong woman.
something they talk about in the article is how Michelle explains the paparazzi to Matilda and she said, "It's because people really loved your daddy that they want to take your picture, to know you're all right."
AAHH. so sad.
to read the full article, go here.
man. recently on Entourage they talked about Heath Ledger. it must have been like, the summer before he died. i think it was season 5. Vince really wanted this particular role, but it had already gone to Heath. and so Ari Gold met up with Heath's agent to negotiate a deal. or something like that. but, it made me sad.
alright. enough sad.
let's move on. OH! here is something brilliant i wanted to show you. EVERYONE should click that link. ok, so don't judge me. i'm going to tell you that i accidentally stumbled across that link on youtube while searching for something very, very important related to the worldwide economic crisis. yep. that's definitely how i found it.
ok, so here's what it is. it's a re-working of the trailer for The Princess Diaries to make it look like a political thriller!!! it's a joke movie trailer!!!! the princess diaries! a political thriller! hilarious!!
i have seriously updated way too many times today. it's currently 4:13am. i have to go to bed soon, i guess.
up at 6:45am for work. work until 9am.
my plan for thursday is this:
- post office
- new headphones
that's all! that's all, baby!
ok. i guess that's really all. for now. i can't think of anything else.
i painted my nails yellow. remember how i bought the totally awesome yellow nailpolish? yeah, i'm so hip and trendy. the color is actually called 'lightening.' YEAH, that's right. lightening.
alright. it's thursday. 17 september. no longer Nick Jonas' birthday. i saw an article called, "what did nick get for his 17th birthday?!" but i haven't read it yet. i'll read it and let you know. or, maybe i won't read it. i have too many other articles to read about the new health care plan. you know how it is. those health care articles really pile up. who has time to read about Nick Jonas!!? i know i don't. who even cares what he got for his birthday?!?! again, definitely not me.
(i'm a Joe Jonas girl anyways.)
alright. now it's time for me to go to bed. goodnight! have a lovely morning. or afternoon. whenever you read this. i'm so excited to talk to you again soon! i can't wait!!
heart.

love you like the sun loves you
wow! i just have so much to say today. isn't it great? yeah. i bet you love it.
this is mainly going to be pictures. i just uploaded them from my telephone to my computer. yeah, my telephone can take pictures. it's kind of awesome. i can't believe i went 6 years with having a cell phone with no camera.
anyways, let's get started!!!! i think you'll enjoy these. it's mainly thing related to kara and ruby tuesday.
from Kara's birthday! this was her cake!! duh. the good people at Bread and Roses bakery made it. it was DELICIOUS. it had this amazing raspberry mousse in it. i think. it's the light pink frosting-looking like stuff around the border. it's raspberry. and it was on top of white chocolate frosting. unreal.
i love this one! i think kara looks so pretty. even if she is wearing my Zox shirt. also, it looks like she has a halo of candy-corn around her. but, she didn't. that is a trick.
loves it. she's so pretty!
YUM to the max. i seriously loved that cake. although, too much frosting in some parts. i'm not a frosting kind of gal.
yeah, we had Hannah Montana plates. YEP.
ok, so the next pictures need a little explanation.
so, i was taking one of the residents to a doctor's appointment. and, we were sitting in the waiting room looking at magazines. and, i saw the Ladies Home Journal magazine and it the cover story was Meryl Streep and Amy Adams. or basically, Kara's two favorite people in the whole world. they were doing Julie and Julia press. and i got all flustered and didn't know what to do when i saw these pictures. and then i remembered that my phone had a camera. and i turned to the resident and said,
JULIE: Okay, I have to do something.
RESIDENT: Okay....
JULIE: I have to take some pictures of this magazine.
RESIDENT: Um...why?
JULIE: They're for my sister. She loves Meryl Streep and Amy Adams.
RESIDENT: (laughs) Okay...you do that....
JULIE: Is this going to be totally embarrassing for you?
RESIDENT: Noo...I don't care.
GOOD. i took waaay more than this, but these two came out the best. let's take a look,
the cover. "dish about men and food." loves it.
they're totally gorgeous. look at Amy's hair! it's like a shampoo commercial!!!
ok. that's it. :)
this is the night that Ruby Tuesday and i watched Coraline. like i said, she either watched it from the floor, or from my lap. this is her on the floor. it was really sweet.
Ruby Tuesday asleep on my towel, waiting for me to get out of the shower.
Ruby Tuesday asleep in my bed.
Ruby Tuesday asleep behind the couch cushion. she burrows in there sometimes. it's kind of confusing while it's happening. but the result is always adorable.
sitting pretty in the window between the kitchen and bathroom.
sleepy in the sun after destroying some fake flowers.
double the fun playing with her favorite toy (the leopard print thing), and the round thing with the ball.
pink mouse.
green mouse.
yellow seahorse. she's been doing this thing lately where she LOVES her yellow seahorse toy. she'll roll around with it in the kitchen and rub it against her face. YEAH. it's really cute.
sleepy on top of the couch. she usually does this when i have my laptop on my lap and she can't sleep there. she'll sleep next to me instead.
me and Ruby wishing Nick Jonas a happy birthday!!
i kind of look horrible in that last one. but, whatev. we're all friends here.
so, yeah!
i have another story that is going to blow your mind. it totally blew mine. it has to do with my headphones. um, guess what happened? THEY DIED. yeah. my speakers and my headphones die in the same week. COINCIDENCE?!?! probs.
anyways, so i decided that i wanted to take a nice bath tonight. and, i always bring my ipod and headphones with me so i can listen to music. it's lovely. sometimes, it's just really nice to listen to music through headphones. it gives the songs a different sound.
so, i put the headphones on, put the jack into the ipod and it crackles a little. whatev. and then i press play and relax. and then i'm like, "wait, why does this song sound so crazy??" it was like, empty sounding. or, tin-y.
and i'm trying to figure out what's wrong. and then i see the headphone cord. the protective case is all frayed in one part and some of the wires are exposed. "SON OF A GUN!" i said aloud. and i'm really bumming becase now the music is going to sound terrible. and now i have to buy new headphones.
so, i continue to listen to the crappy sound. and i'm like, trying to play with the wires to see if i can manually hold them together for a better sound. and, as i'm doing, i think i'm just making it worse. but, i really feel like i'm trying to de-activate a bomb or something. "cut the red one!! no, cut the blue one!!!" i really wanted to say that, but i didn't.
and, my playing around with the wires is not helping. so, i just leave it alone. and continue to be bummed. and then the next song comes on.
"what the heck song is this?" i say to myself. it was just like with my speakers, where the songs would become unrecognizable. but, then i realized that they were unrecognizable in a different way.
i looked at the iPod and saw that the song that was playing was 'Paralyzed' by Rooney. such a great song. and i'm like, "wow, you can really hear Taylor Locke rocking on the guitar." and then i realized that there were no drums. and then there were no vocals. and, it was just instrumental. but then! i could hear Robert singing very faintly, but it didn't sound right. so, i'm listening very intently, and then i realize that he's singing a harmony part. and there are still no drums. you can really hear Taylor on guitar and Matt Winter (who i'm soooo totally in love with) on the bass. and, i actually really like it.
the song turned out pretty cool. so then i'm like, "hm, i wonder what some of my other songs sound like."
so i put on West Coast, naturally. AND, the instrumental parts sounded really great! they just sounded normal. but! Jason never came in to sing! there were no lead vocals.
so, i very quickly took over and started treating it like a karaoke song!!! it was the best!!! AND THEN! all the backing vocals started singing behind me!!! it was like i was a rock star.
and then i decided that i really liked these new headphones.
next came Ben Lee's 'Into the Dark.' another song that sounded great, except there were no lead vocals. again, i took over for Ben. it was no problem really. i didn't mind.
AND THEN, came the song 'Wires' by Coconut Records. which, in an ironic turn of events, turned out to be the song most effected by the headphones. i'm listening, and there is just one guitar part playing in the beginning. and then Jason comes in singing the background parts. which, are so pretty, and i never really realized this before!!!
and then! the chorus part comes on. and there is this GREAT clap-track that again, i never really heard before!!! and the whole song is just background stuff. it was totally bizarre.
i immediately thought of the movie Josie and the Pussycats, where they hear the subliminal messages in the songs, and they have to turn down all the parts in the song to get to the message. and it's saying like, "buy these Nike sneakers. go eat at McDonald's..." stuff like that.
i instantly felt like i was sitting in a big expensive recording studio, in front of one of those huge sound boards with all the volume controls, and i could turn up or down all the different layers of the songs. it was SO COOL. (except, i couldn't actually control them, i just pretended i could.)
and then 'California' by Phantom Planet came on. and it was just the drums and piano version!! very weird at first. and then the backing vocals came on. and then a little bit of Darren on guitar. but, mostly piano and drums. which, was kind of cool.
and then, 'Good Girls Go Bad,' which i totally love. again, it sounded pretty good at first, but there was no lead vocals! but, the backing vocals were really funny to listen to because all of a sudden they sang, "YOUR TYPE. ONE BITE." and it was just the background parts!! it was pretty funny.
and then i listened to 'What For' by Rooney. again, no lead vocals. or drums. just background stuff. oh, i love that song.
and i was REALLY loving this new way to hear music. it was kind of surreal. and so bizarre.
and then i put on Miley Cyrus, 'Party in the USA,' and the headphones totally died. yeah. the wires must have totally cut out, or something. it was dead.
SO, from this new experience i have come up with a new invention: VOCAL CANCELING KARAOKE HEADPHONES. yep. headphones that cancel out the lead vocals so you can just sing karaoke!!!!!!! i have no idea if that's possible or not.
actually, maybe a CD player that cancels out the lead vocals. that way you can actually have karaoke parties with other people and not just by yourself in the bath.
sorry to all those lead vocalists out there. i don't mean to want to cut our your parts. but, karaoke totally rocks.
anyways. so now i have to go out and buy some new headphones. kind of unreal that they died in the same week as my speakers. i guess my electronic things will just keep dying on me. that's the way it goes.
it was fun.
our new resident came today. she seems really nice. now there are 3 girls here! plus me! it's officially a sleepover!
alright. it's midnight. i guess i'll eat supper now. i know i have some movie reviews to give to you. i'll work on that tomorrow, maybe.
hope you had a great day!! i had a good day. lazy day. i slept for a looooong time last night. it made me happy, though. because i had gotten so little sleep for the past few days.
any opinions on what my new headphones should be or shouldn't be? i can't wear those ones that go into your hear. they hurt. that's my only rule. and, they can't be too expensive. i'll probably just go to wal-mart to get them.
okay! i think that's all i have to tell you for now. have a great day today! i'll talk to you later!!!
<3
ps - i realized after listening to Ben Lee's 'Ripe' record, that it's basically all about sex. having sex, wanting to have sex. yep. it's pretty hott. okay. that's all.
ALSO: JV, if you're reading this. i have to check about my schedule for Ben Folds. i'm 90% yes right now. i'll let you know SOON. promise!
<3

the song turned out pretty cool. so then i'm like, "hm, i wonder what some of my other songs sound like."
so i put on West Coast, naturally.
<3
ps - i realized after listening to Ben Lee's 'Ripe' record, that it's basically all about sex. having sex, wanting to have sex. yep. it's pretty hott. okay. that's all.
ALSO: JV, if you're reading this. i have to check about my schedule for Ben Folds. i'm 90% yes right now. i'll let you know SOON. promise!
