i also want to be a location scout for movies. the director would be like, "julie, find me a 4 story library with glass walls!" and i'd be like, "I'M ON IT!!"
i just finished watching The Royal Tenenbaums. i started the movie and then got up to the part where little Chas is using his rotating tie rack and i said to myself, "wait a minute. i want to watch this movie with commentary."
so, i stopped the movie, and started it again from the beginning with commentary by Wes Anderson. something about that tie rack made me remember how awesome the commentary was.
(and that tie rack belonged to Owen Wilson's friend Stephen Dignan.)
(FACT: Owen Wilson's character in Bottle Rocket is named Dignan. i believe after his friend.)
i love that Wes Anderson just uses his friends in his movies. and not just one movie. like, all of them.
and there's that part in The Royal Tenenbaums where it's Gene Hackman and Kumar and they are standing by a bridge talking about some investigative work that Kumar has done. and i forgot that the way Kumar is standing he is blocking out the Statue of Liberty. and Wes Anderson talks about that in his commentary. and i immediately thought about my recent dream where the Statue is invisible.
ok. that's all for now. enjoy the rest of your day.
