ok friends, we've completed week one of the drug class. we've completed it almost two weeks late, but it's done nonetheless.
i turned in my attendance questions to prove that i finished the lessons. the final question was, "do you have any questions about the material?"
and i thought this was a good time to question the part in the reading when it said, (i'm paraphrasing here), "obviously it's not ethical to test these drugs on humans, so instead we did it on fruit flies and spider monkeys."
my question about the material went something like this: "how can you justify testing these drugs on animals?"
it didn't really make sense to me.
the video i had to watch had this joyous man's voice saying, "let's take a look at these images of spider monkeys on ecstasy!!!"
anyways.
in celebration of the completion of week one in my drug class, i will proceed to the drug store to purchase drugs in the form of eye drops. they are quite wonderful and make life more pleasurable. they are rewarding and help me escape the everyday horrors that is pet and seasonal allergies. some could probably say that i am addicted. but, not really.
although, after watching Spun, and then reading this drug thing, i kind of had the urge to go buy some suphedrine. boil it on the stove for about 16 hours until it is a frothy mixture......
i'm totally kidding. that stuff will ruin your life.
ok. i'm of now. hope you enjoyed your mini drug lesson as much as i did. i'm glad we got to experience it together.
