a quick one while he's away. oooo who sings that song???? it's going to drive me CRAZY. geeze. look what i have done. i have gone and written a simple blog entry before starting work, and now have already driven myself crazy. i seriously can't think of who sings that song. uugghh i can see it on my iTunes. i just can't see the artist..... crap.
OH! i know. i can just google it. ha, the wonders of the google machine. ok, hold on.
THE WHO!!! they sing the song. phew. ok. now i can rest.
so. to update you since i last saw you. or, talked to you. let's see. i worked until 9. had breakfast after that. started to watch The Life Aquatic. i figured, 'why the heck not?' i did not remember that the guy who plays the video camera guy ALSO plays the head train steward in The Darjeeling Limited. that was something that surprised me. pleasantly surprised, of course.
then we had our doctor's appointment. we had to wait a long time which was annoying. that place is like a giant, giant machine. out of all the doctor's appointments i have been to, i have NEVER seen the same doctor or nurse twice. every time we go, it's like meeting them for the first time. none of this is for me, though. it's all for our residents.
our pregnant resident lost 6.5 pounds since we were last at the doctor's, 2 weeks ago. yikes. everybody was pretty concerned. so, tonight she wants an italian sub for dinner, and then i'll probably suggest we get ice cream. we'll probably have to start eating with her to make sure she's eating. although, the problem with that is that nobody else is pregnant here. so, nobody else has an excuse to eat all the time. that could get problematic. but, i'll do it tonight. i'll eat the ice cream. take one for the team.
came back from the doctor's. napped from noontime until 3:17. woke up. got ready for work. walked downstairs. and now i'm at work again.
i had set my alarm for 2:25. i woke up. re-set it for 3:38. the song was 'Wires' by Coconut Records. love that song. i shut it off. and must have fallen back to sleep. just happened to wake up at 3:17 and said, "crap it's 3:17 i have to be at work in 13 minutes." then i got up.
Ruby Tuesday slept under the covers right next to my legs the whole time. she was being really, really cute.
then i fed her some lunch. went to work. there was another staff member who was doing a puzzle when i came down. so i worked with her on that for a while. as you can see, things here are really slow. for everybody.
we were supposed to have a new resident here last week, but that didn't happen. and looks like it won't happen. and we were supposed to have another new one here this week, and now it looks like that won't happen until september.
and the resident we have here is going home this weekend. ssoooo, it'll just be me. all alone in this big house. i don't really want to drive to maine. maybe i'll drive to Philadelphia and check into a hostel. or maybe i'll drive to Canada. we're only 100 miles away.
so, remember how i told you i had the scratch next to my eye? well, our resident saw it and said,
RESIDENT: Did Ruby Tuesday scratch you?
JULE: Um, I don't think so. I woke up and I had it.
RESIDENT: Looks like the ghost got to you too.
JULIE: I guess so.
because there was a few days a couple weeks ago where she would wake up and have scratches on her face and she didn't know where they were coming from. they were big scratches, too. this is a big scratch that i have. it goes from the top of my eye to my cheek bone.
i don't know if it was the ghost. but, i had thought of it before she mentioned it. maybe it was the same shadowy figure that walked into my half-dream last week and sat on my bed.
speaking of half-dreams, are we going to be half-vegans for a week?? is anyone up for that?? i just remembered that. i guess i'll think more about it.
so, i thought this was going to be a quick one while he's away, but it's turning into a long one while he's still here. let's google that and see if it's a song.
nope. no song. maybe i'll write it. probably not.

OH. so, i got a blog comment from my friend Dafe and he said that the show that Dudley was on was Freaks and Geeks. and that it was the best show ever.
(Dudley was the character in The Royal Tenenbaums and in the commentary Wes Anderson said that he found him through his good friend Judd Apatow....remember?)
so, i have heard from lots of people that Freaks and Geeks was the best show ever. but i have never watched it. BUT NOW. i am going to watch it. Dafe was the last recommendation i needed. he recommended some movies for me to see while i was still in high school, i think, and they were great. i think one of them was Ghost World.
so now my mission is to watch Freaks and Geeks. and i'll blog about it.
why do i say that? "i'll blog about it." just like with the drug education class and with the half-vegan thing. it's like, "what do i NOT blog about?" it'll probably end up in here some way or another. maybe it's a tool i use to get you excited.
Freaks and Geeks Blogging. i like it. it will happen. i'm going to watch it. just added the discs to my Netflix.
ok. it's 5pm. 5 more hours of work. "work."
i'm going to get a disc of Entourage tomorrow. omgican'twait. i left off at this super dramatic episode. it was really sad. and tomorrow i get to see what happens!!! yess.
what else?
hm. what should i do this weekend? a big, big house all to myself. i could have a rockin' party. set up some speakers. "it's amazing all these speakers we have and how little talking we do."
or something like that. from a Phantom Planet blog video. i watched a bunch yesterday. i know i said i would post the links to some, but i didn't. maybe i still will. i will. just not now.
me and Courtney have to start planning a baby shower. i'm sooooo excited. i talked about it a little bit with our resident today. i've never planned a baby shower before!!
James Franco was in Freaks and Geeks? that should be fun.
OK. i don't really have anything else to say.
somebody just pulled in to the driveway of the house across the street. it's the house that's for sale. it's a big house. i want it. one of you buy it and then we can live across the street from each other.
