because maybe, you're gonna be the one that saves me

oh hi!!!! (didn't see you there!)

so, i've had a pretty great couple of days. i've been really happy. content. relaxed. just enjoying things.

i've been spending a lot of time at my kitchen table. and i really like it there. i can see the street and i see when people drive by. or walk by. and i like that. i like looking at the yard and the trees. and watching the sunset.

the past two days i've made breakfast and then picked up my book and read while i ate. it's been great. and then i finish my breakfast and have my second cup of coffee. still reading. i've read a lot of Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. what a great book. it makes me want to be the most creative person on the planet. it's beautiful and touching. very sweet. i highly recommend it. i'll let you know when i've finished.

so yesterday, i actually picked up 4 hours of work. i worked 8-9am. and then i worked 7-10pm. this was sunday. it was a good night. i can't remember what i did.

oh yeah! i looked up jobs in los angeles. and apartments. and i read the missed connections. and listened to music and listened to people walk their dogs outside.

went to bed around 3am, i think. woke up at 7:50am for work. it was a weird sleep until then, i think. i kept waking up. i think something odd might've happened, but i can't remember.

worked 8-9am. no, 8-8:30am. then went immediately back to sleep because i couldn't keep my eyes open any longer. slept until 12:45. nice sleep.

got up. made coffee. ate breakfast. washed my hair. got dressed. went to the post office. just as i was leaving, it was getting really dark outside and i said, "hm, i think i better drive." and then as i was pulling into the post office, it started DOWNPOURING.

got two Netflix. and something congratulating me that i have been chosen to take part in a TV survey. they're going to mail it to me soon. lucky me.

i also mailed some things! i mailed my rebate on my new mobile phone. i think it might have expired, but i mailed it anyways. and i was called for jury duty in the state of massachusetts and i mailed back the card thing telling them that i can't serve because i don't live in massachusetts anymore.

and on the card, it said, "please write any address changes, mark the box next to the line, and circle the changes." and i was like, "whoa, that's way too many steps." so, i wrote my return address as my new address in new hampshire. and i very carelessly marked the boxes indicating the change. but, i did not make a check mark. and i did not circle the changes. jury duty can take THAT to the bank. please don't pick me again.

but, it was exciting to mail things. came home. read some more. AND THEN: i finished my drug education classs!!!!!!!! YES! it's done!!!!! i took my EXAM. and finished my response questions. i'm not sure how meaningful the class was, though. because when i was writing my response questions i kept thinking to myself, "why are some drugs illegal in the first place?" none of it really made sense anymore. so, my responses might seem pretty illogical. highly illogical, if i were Spock.

did i tell you about these questions? the one about the guy from California who was fired from his job for possessing marijuana that was prescribed by a doctor? i feel like we talked about this. i was answering that question and then started talking about how people can walk around with a gun as long as they have a permit, but they can't walk around with marijuana if they have a permit?

and then i compared the genetics of drug addiction to the genetics of getting skin cancer. and then i basically said we should release all prisoners from jail.

i think i might have come across as an insane left-winger. but hey - the class is over.

and i passed the exam! well, okay. the first time i did not. we could get 5 out of 20 wrong and still pass. and i got 7 wrong. and then i took it again, and got 1 wrong. 19 out of 20 right! that's not bad for my first exam since high school!

although, one of the questions was something like this:

Which of the following IS NOT an addictive illegal substance?
- heroin
- MDMA
- cocaine
- methamphetamine
- goof balls

and i was like, "wait a sec....goof balls?" and then i had to read the question again. and then i decided that 'goof balls' was the right answer. i was right!

SO TODAY kara and i are going to IKEA. omg i'm so excited i might not be able to sleep. she needs a futon for her new apartment. and i need oven mits. i can't wait. i'm more excited about having a sister day than actually going to ikea. i made a killer playlist on itunes for us.

Anna Faris just had a three-episode part on Entourage. it was funny.

before we go to ikea, i'm working 8-8:30am. and then my boss is taking the two girls to York, Maine for the day.

okay. i just got tired. 2:50am. not too bad. i've been wanting to to some writing lately. like, fiction writing. i think i will soon. i have a feeling this week will be productive.

like i said, monday is full of possibility.

also, i like the new Miley song.

also, i really hope you listened to that youtube video of West Coast that i posted. i still can't get enough of it. it's really beautiful. if not, it's in the next entry below this. at the bottom, i think.

alright! have lovely tuesdays. i'll update you on our Ikea Adventure.

and afterall, you're my wonderwall,
.Jacuzzi.Jacuzzi.

ps: i'm also really excited because Rooney is following ME on twitter. it looks like they've started following most of their fans. BUT STILL. it's kind of exciting. and i can't wait for their boston tour dates. KARA AND I will soooo be there.

ps2: i know that 'afterall' isn't really one word. but, it was a mistake. and now i like it. so, enjoy.
