so now everyone is saying that District 9 will definitely be nominated for Best Picture.
it's annoying me that people are saying they already know what's getting nominated. like, Star Trek and The Hangover. oh geeze if The Hangover gets nominated for Best Picture of the Year i may vom.
i mean, it's supposed to be a surprise! like, the morning the nominations are released. to wake up early and see what got nominated and what didn't! now it's like, there's no surprise. because, there are ten, so it's like, everyone's game.
so, while i was watching District 9, i never thought for one minute, "wow, this is best picture material." i mean, it was an awesome movie and i really enjoyed watching it. the aliens were great. sure, give it the Best Visual Effects award. give it Best Sound Editing. give it Best Acting by an Alien in a Supporting Role.
wouldn't it be weird if a digital character was nominated in an acting category? that probably can't happen. but, wouldn't it be weird?
anyways. i've had a pretty good day so far. i still have to wash my hair and go to the post office before my medication training at 4:45.
i don't really understand why i have to go to this training, because i was just certified in handing out medications. but, i asked Courtney and she didn't really know either, but said she was going anyways. so, i figured it will be easy money.
the house alarm went off this morning and when it woke me up the first thing i thought was, "OMG WHAT DAY IS IT?!??!" like, that would make a huge difference in something? i don't know. i couldn't figure out if it was saturday or monday. it was monday. and it still is monday.
i think i want a haircut. after seeing Katherine Heigl's hair in The Ugly Truth i was like, "i want that." cause, she has pretty short hair, but then Gerard Butler comes in and says, "guys like women better if they have long hair. you need hair extensions." so, then she gets hair extensions. and i want her haircut after the extensions are put in.
actually, i just want hair extensions. i think they looks awesome. remember when Kristin got them in the first season of Laguna Beach?? i think she got them in preparation for prom. oh, i was so jealous. that show used to be so good. the first and second seasons were addicting. or, so i heard.....
because then if i had hair extensions, my hair would also be thicker. and voluminous.
but, speaking of hair. i should wash mine. and then go to the post office. i bet it's really hot outside. last night, i had to go down to the staff office to sign something, and i opened my door to leave the apt, and it was like hitting a wall of 100 degree heat. it was amazing. i could not believe it. if i did not have these air conditioners, i think i would probably be totally miserable all the time. i think it would seriously be 100 degrees up here.
because, on a hot day, just going from the first to the second floor is like a ten degree temperature difference. and then going up one more floor?? yikes man. and this is probably the only time in my life where i will be able to afford air conditioners. so, i'm gonna enjoy it.
i called Megan from the Red Cross office in portsmouth today. she had called me about going to CPR this saturday. so, i called her back. and i'm all signed up for Adult/Infant/Child CPR this saturday in portsmouth. finally. 8:30 - 5:30. yikes that's a long time. 9 hours. that's like, three Titanic viewings. oh, that would be so much better.
anyways. ok, i got to get moving. let's check the weather. hm, 87 degrees. gross.
i realized that if i lived in Los Angeles, there would be no winter. and i wouldn't like that.
okay. time to go. i'll update later. and i think i'm going to dye some shirts green tonight. i'll take pictures.
have a great afternoon!
