skyscrapers are scraping together

so, i had this dream last night. and i want to tell you about it. i keep thinking about it and what it could mean. ok, here we go.

so, me and my friend andrew were in new york city. it was super foggy. like, we could barely see each other because the fog was so thick. and we said, "hey, let's go see the Statue of Liberty." i have never actually been over to see the statue, so we decided it might be a good idea.

but, they had moved the statue to this marshy area, in a lagoon-like setting. the trees were really tall and there was this small river that you sailed down to get there. but, there were no ferry boats. you had to have your own boat. so, we rented this little tin boat and set sail.

and we get to the spot that the statue is supposed to be, and it's totally empty. there is a large grassy area right next to the water and it is empty. there are no people around, we are the only ones.

and it's very confusing because this is exactly where the statue is supposed to be. but, as we sail around the lagoon a little more, we start to see something funny.

the only way i can describe it is like in harry potter. when harry is about to take off his invisibility cloak. you still can't see him, but you know he is there because of the way the cloak is draped around him.

and i say, "i think the statue is there." even though there is nothing there. it's a large marsh. and so we start throwing rocks at this spot in the air. and, sure enough, the larger rocks we throw start to uncover the statue.

it was under a giant invisibility cloak!! we don't get the cloak off all the way, just enough so we can see Lady Liberty's face. and we just stand there, staring at the Statue of Libery, still half invisible.

and then we hear something in the water. and we turn around and it's this GIANT ship with big lion's heads in the front and it's sailing towards us. it's not a pirate ship, but it's something like that. guarders of the statue, or something. so, we realize that we need to get out of there, pronto. so we swim back to our little boat and the guards are coming after us....

and then i wake up.

and i was really scared when i woke up. it was like i had just had a nightmare.

isn't that a strange dream?? i hope it's not some horrible premonition. didn't they just reopen the top of the statue??

so anyways, i decided to go to my go-to online dream dictionary on the off chance they would have what "statue of liberty" meant. and they did! here we go:

STATUE OF LIBERTY
To see the Statue of Liberty in your dream, signifies personal and/or cultural freedom. You have found your own independence and are learning to stand on your own. It is also a symbol of free enterprise and patriotism.

apparently, seeing the statue in your dream is more of a personal thing, rather than a national thing. i'm guessing that since the statue was under a cloak of invisibility, it means that i cannot stand on my own and i am not independent. i guess i'm still searching for my own independence.

anyways. i think it was a sad dream. sad and scary. because when i still think about it, i get scared.

it's like in all those end of the world movies where the national monuments crumble to the ground and it's very dramatic and beautiful.

well actually, it's not like that. i think that actually might have been better. this was hidden on purpose. someone had put that invisibility cloak on it. why would someone want to hide the statue of liberty?? and why were me and andrew the only ones looking for it?

i don't know. i can't think about it anymore because it is seriously making my stomach turn.

anyways. it's a beautiful gloomy day outside.

so, yesterday one of the cast members of Heroes was married in Kennebunkport, Maine. i was very excited about this, even though i wasn't at home. the one who plays Nicki/Jessica/Tracy. Ali Larter. you might also know her from Legally Blonde!!! she played Brooke, who was the one Elle was defending in court. she had the workout empire. "it's not like normal women can have this ass!" great movie.

so, naturally, i imagined that the entire cast of Heroes was in Kennebunkport. but, i don't think they were. it was fun to think about though.

i spent a long time last night looking up jobs in Los Angeles on craigslist. there were a couple that i would have applied for if i lived in the los angeles area.

i also love reading the Missed Connections. anyone else do this? it makes me happy. and sometimes sad.

Ruby Tuesday has been doing this thing the last two days where she wakes me up by frantically licking my face and walking all over me. and i can't stand it, but she's so cute. and i hate when she licks my face because then i get hives. but she's so cute!!!! she's just hungry. and she's trying to get me to feed her. she's just like a baby. if she doesn't eat every 7 hours she gets cranky and starts crying. although, babies need to eat more often than 7 hours.

alright. i think that's all for now. i might make a new iTunes playlist. because i love making those. my nose is really stuffy today. i had to buy 4 more boxes of tissues because i went through the 6 boxes i bought a few weeks ago. i might go out and buy more eye drops today. i am running low and i don't want to run out because they are a godsend for my itchy eyes.

what do you all think about this latest Jude Law scandel?! he's having another baby with this girl he met up with in NYC filming Sherlock Holmes!!!!!! i think that's crazy. she's like, 24 or something. crazy. lucky girl? well, i don't know.

okay. i think that's about all i can think of. have a good day. maybe i'll do some work. that drug class is just hanging over me. UGH. and that online piano is calling my name.....

have a good day!!
